“right alongside miles of broad, sandy beach”
A few miles south of Waldport and north of Yachats on the central coast, this small, exquisite destination campground is right alongside miles of broad, sandy beach that makes the park perfect for kite flying and whale watching. Every campsite is mere seconds from the beach, which makes the park perfect for watching storms and sunsets. Beachside is an excellent mid-point stop as you take a jaunt on the coast. Within 30 miles in either direction, you'll find visitor centers, tide pools, hiking and driving tours, three lighthouses, crabbing, clamming, fishing, aquarium and science centers

Nice easy walk onto the beach. Pretty. Not any tide pools when we came, but there were crabs that we could watch dig in the sand. Brought my dog, she had a lot of fun.
Quiet. Beautiful. Clean restrooms. Beach is gorgeous.
Amazing! Small but RIGHT on the coast. Beautiful and quiet. We heard the waves crashing all night. The bathrooms were clean and nice. Would love to stay there again!
So here's a place we lucked out on getting last September. It's called Beachside, Oregon. As we have found, it's a difficult spot to book. Fortunately, someone cancelled their reservations and we got in! It's a few miles south of Waldport. The campsite is right next to the beach and ocean, so you can see it right from most campsites. If you are staying in a tent, you may hear road traffic as this place is right off the highway. We only heard the ocean waves crashing from our travel trailer. The campground is open March 15 - October 31. They have 32 Electrical sites with Water, no sewer. There are very clean bathrooms with hot showers too. (There is a dump site at South Beach Campsite or in the town of Newport if you need it.) We enjoyed our morning and evening walks on the beach and taking my kite out and flying it. The people staying there were all very friendly and it was pretty quiet for the most part. It's a great place to stay! By the way, if you get a chance, go eat at Bridgewater Fish House and Zebra bar in Florence, Oregon. It's about a 40 minute drive heading south from Beachside. It was the best food we've ever had on the Oregon Coast!

The location on the central Oregon coast makes for convenient day trips both north and south. The enormous beach is but steps away. The sites are modest but surprisingly private. The hosts were friendly and the bathrooms kept clean (free showers too!).
While there is water and 30 amp electrical at many of the sites there is no sewer nor is there an RV dump at the campground; the nearest is about 18 miles away.
It is close to HWY 101 but the noise wasn't too bad at our site; there's very little traffic during the night and the roar of the ocean provides a nice background.
Verizon service is non-existent. AT&T is much better. We got 3.1 MB/s down and 0.4 MB/sec up while inside the Airstream. The WeBoost Drive RV increased that to 6.5 MB/s down and 7.1 MB/sec up. A later test the next day was an astounding 52 MB/sec down and 2.1 MB/sec up.

Unless you are fortunate enough to get one of the sites right on the beachfront where the ocean waves will drown out the traffic noise, it's like being in a wooded highway pullout. That said, the beach was great. The park does offer flush toilets and a small number of showers. While not anything extraordinary, the restrooms were clean. I would go back for the day use area, but not to camp w/I a reserved site on beachfront.

Beautiful beach. Not crowded. Easy walk from parking lot. Lots of jellies today after the rain yesterday.
