Didn’t feel welcome.
Very nice campground.
Beautiful location. We stayed 10 days. It was quiet. There is a pool. There isn’t a lot to do other than fish, swim, walk and eat at the burger/bar joint on site. Higginsville is a quiet little town. We really enjoyed our time here even though there is no WiFi or cable. The laundry room and playground can use updating.
Fantastic stop. They have RV parking in front of the boyhood memorial. The trails are open until dark and the memorial closes at 5. We had a great time walking where the Lincoln family once lived.
Nice people running the place. The pool is a good size and clean. The playground is a little run down. There are beautiful apple trees around.
It looks like there are many permanent residents here. Some rigs are kept up and others are not. Our main complaint is the bathroom/shower situation. My son is a scout used to roughing it in the wild. Even he couldn’t bring himself to use the men’s bathroom because it was so dirty and in need of repair. We had one minor maintenance issue with the sewer cap missing, but they fixed it within minutes. They have fixed the issue other reviewers complained the sewer was buried. All sewers are easy to spot now.
The site was shaded, but easy to navigate. It was a bit out of level. We were in site 17.
We probably won’t be back, but it was an okay place to spend the night.
Just a parking lot. It is a huge open parking lot with gravel. Rvs parked close together. It looks like the guy owned a laundromat and just paved his back lot for rvs.
