We booked our stay online about 1 week prior to arrival after cancelling a trip to Yosemite due to a wildfire. We arrived, were quickly greeted and checked in without issue. The friendly camphosts then escorted us to our premium creekside site with full hookups and a small deck over the creek.

The sites were a little too close together for our liking, but we used the park as a base for a couple days of enjoying Durango rather than just hanging out in the park like we would while dry camping in the National Forest. The sites were generally pretty level and we had no issues with the hookups.

Bathrooms at the park were quite clean and well kept which makes the showering experience pleasant. Wifi access was non existent at our site and we would walk up to the office/laundry area to use the wifi.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here at Lightner Creek and would stay here again as a base for exploring the Durango area.

We've stayed at Kaibab Lake twice this summer and have been very happy with the campground. Our only complaint is the terrible LTE service with Verizon at the campground, something to keep in mind if you need to have data for working while staying here. The hosts have been very nice and helpful when needed. There is a relatively easy hiking trail that goes around Kaibab Lake and there were many people fishing during both stays.

All of the sites are paved and spaced out nicely with a good mix of pull through and back in sites although there are some sites that are not very level. Also, each site has a firepit and concrete table. Due to the coronavirus we did not spend any time in the town of Williams, but there are many restaurants and shops to visit.

There is no water to fill RV tanks and no dump station available at the campground.

We spent 3 nights here in late June and surprisingly, the campground was only 50% full. Access to the town of Greer is very easy and there are hiking opportunities near the campground too. There are nice showers near the entrance and bathrooms throughout the various loops. All of the parking pads appear to be quite level and they are all gravel. Most of the sites have good shade which is nice when you need to be out of the sun, however if you rely on solar panels there are many sites that would have only a few hours of direct sun for charging.

There is a free dump station here along with a clean water source. The staff was friendly and most of the campers were quiet aside from a few that felt the need to run generators for a few hours at a time. Reservations are accepted and there are 2 loops set aside for walk ups.

Verizon cell service was very poor in the campground and we were able to go to the parking lot for the reservoir across from the campground to get a couple bars of LTE service.

We wanted to get out of the heat for a quick weekend trip and were able to find a last minute reservation at this very popular campground. Our only complaint is that the site we booked was listed as a back in site, when in reality, it is a pull through site on a side loop. We marked our campground map for future reference when booking a site here at Canyon Point.

This campground is very heavily used and almost always booked during the summer as it is located on the Mogollon Rim (a short drive from the Phoenix area) at an elevation of 7500 ft in a heavily wooded area. There is lake access nearby, as well as hiking/biking trails and endless miles of dirt roads to explore. There are some nice side loops that would be ideal if you're planning a weekend with friends.

Kodachrome Basin State Park has been on our list to visit for a couple years and we finally checked it off the list. Spectacular views are everywhere and the showers are the best I've ever encountered at a State Park with really nice tile and rain shower heads! Staff was friendly, sites were clean, all campground users were quiet, the night sky was amazing and the hiking trails were well maintained. Dump station & potable water are available at the campground entry and firewood is available. Not all sites are level, so be prepared with some blocks or levelers. We did not have any hookups at site 10, but had plenty of sun available for solar charging our batteries each day.

Do not plan on any cell service while at the park and you won't be disappointed when you arrive.

I'll get the only negative out of the way first, we had no Verizon service while at this campground.

With that said, we loved this quiet FS campground that's just minutes from downtown Santa Fe. The roads are paved, the sites were level and the newer vault toilets were clean. We were in site 24 which is next to the Black Canyon Trail that makes a nice 1.6 mile hike that loops back to camp.

We've camped here MANY times over the last 5-8 years. It's a very convenient location minutes from downtown Prescott with access to hiking and mountain biking trails directly from camp. This CG went on the reservation system in 2019 and while it's sometimes harder to book a site, it has changed for the better. There are now hosts onsite and the CG is always clean. No hookups or dumpstation available, but there is potable water and vault restrooms. Half of the campground has been updated at some point with asphalt drives, tent pads, fire circles and picnic tables while the other half is more rustic. All sites have beautiful Ponderosa Pine trees surrounding them.

This is a nice Forest Service campground that is just minutes away from Prescott, but feels more remote. Lynx Lake is a very busy campground and reservations are required as it is always booked during the summer. We were in loop G, site 28, which is a very level parallel spot with a nice steel firepit and table.

There is some road noise in many of the sites during the day, but that dies down during the evening and through the night. We walked the campground with our dog a couple times and saw many nice sites that were a mixture of back in, pull through and parallel access. We generally prefer back in sites and made note of the sites we would try to book in the future.

There are a few trails directly accessible from the campground and the lake is just a few minutes walk away. We were able to ride our mountain bikes from camp up trail 305 which passes through the Hilltop campground and out to Walker Rd before returning on the same trail.

Wildlife bonus- we also saw a couple tarantulas crossing the campground road during one of our walks and had a skunk pass through our site one evening.

We loved our overnight at this campground despite the heat wave in early June. Yes, the sites are tight, but we had no problem getting around in our 26' View. The dense Redwood forest really helps keep the sound down and makes for a quiet stay. We hiked the trails outside of the campground and drove part of the Avenue of the Giants. The campground was clean and our site had a large table, a fire pit and a food locker. We'll be back!
