If you aren't camping here the cost to use the dump and fill your water tank is $5, which is a great deal. Clean facilities.

There is water to flush out your tank, but no potable water. Very clean. Right next to a park with open grassy area, good for dogs to run around.

Arrived around 6-7pm on a Friday night, a few people drove to the end of the road and turned around, one couple went for a late night hike. Nobody else stayed the night here. Bug bites all night, the little ones that come through the screen. Didn't see any deer. Peaceful night.

Basic quiet spot, really easy access off the road. Had to back up and take a different access in because the middle one had a big dip that we didn't think we'd make. The furthest left "entrance" was flat and easy. We didn't go too far in as we were just looking for a place to sleep. You can hear road noise but it was fine. Great cell reception.

The water has been shut off (both the rinse / non potable and the potable water). Went to the chevron around the corner for water and they charge $20. The attendant said it’s probably because the water bills are so high.

Kind of a weird spot and hard to find if you don’t know what you’re looking for. The dump station is right by the baseball field, the skate park, and the batting cages.

I guess we got lucky -- not sure if reservations are required here or not. The website says you can make reservations on recreation.gov, there is a sign on site that says "reservations only" but there is another sign that says to choose a vacant spot and self check in at the kiosk, cash only, $30/night for rv sites and $24/night for tent. I guess someone who had reserved the spot we chose could have showed up, but luckily nobody did. Not busy at all mid week in Oct when we stayed here. About 5 rvs and 1 tent. There are 24 RV sites and 10 tent sites. RV sites have electricity only. Dump and potable water available on the way out. Cell service would go in and out for Verizon and ATT, between 3g, 4g, 1 bar, 2 bars, no service. Campground is right off the road but we didn't hear too much road noise. Nice and peaceful place. No campground host or staff on site when we were here.

I really liked this place, very foresty, lots of trees, the sites are kind of all scattered around near each other. Even though there is power and water for most sites, it's hard to tell where the sites are, which is kind of cool. You kind of find a spot and squeeze in between the trees.

But oh man, the mosquitoes! I don't know if it was the time of year (mid October) or the weather that particular day, but we were completely attacked and swarmed by them every time we dared step foot out of the rv. Even with bug spray and long sleeves and pants. I wanted to explore the area more but didn't hardly leave the rv because of them.

Very nice owners, nice that they are taking covid seriously, it's a contactless check in. No dump station. You need to be self contained as bathroom and showers are closed right now. It's right off the road so you can hear the cars, but it's not bad.

I'd stay here again later in the year when there are fewer mosquitoes.

9/14/2020, very smoky here from the surrounding fires.

Pesky swarming bugs in the evening, and there’s a weird smell. Otherwise the place was ok, very basic and simple. Sites are nicely spread out.

We found the campground by following directions for River Campground from Hwy 50, and I believe we made it to Lahontan Dam campground #2.

There’s a quick moving river stream with no bank. Very quiet on this Monday.
