Convenient campground to the trails around Crawford Notch. No hook-ups or dump station. Nice bathhouse with showers and laundry. Dish washing station and potable water available. A bit of noise from the road but may be quieter if the leaves are still on the trees.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. Since it was a holiday weekend we knew it would be crowded but we also knew we wouldn't be at the campground except to eat and sleep. The roads are not well maintained and the sites are not marked well. We missed our site the first drive through and had to make the full loop to find it. There is absolutely no privacy between sites. They did have a "golf cart parade" that would have been fun for kinds and families - just not our thing. The bath houses are in dire need of updating and they do not provide hand soap or a way to dry your hands. They are very dirty and need even some basic cleaning.

Stayed for one night as a pit stop heading north. Large campground with lots of spots. It was December so only about 10% of the sites were being used. Campgrounds with no hookups should make up for it with nice reliable bathhouses. This one did not. The bathhouses look original with no upgrades since they were built in prob the 1950s. The women’s shower (only one) had no door and a curtain that wouldn’t cover the stall opening. Huge safety issue. The sites aren’t level but they worked. Wouldn’t recommend staying here for rigs over 20ft.

This is a very well maintained park. Very level site with a decent amount of space between each site. The park has a marina and lots of hiking trails. Beware of snakes as we saw several.

Great park managed by Virginia State Parks. About a 25 minute drive to downtown Richmond. The park has a large swimming complex that we did not use but looked great for families. The spots are pretty level and ours was well wooded around it providing privacy from our neighbors. The bath house was nice - even had individual rooms for private showers with deadbolts. Even for the 4th of July weekend it was quiet and peaceful.

Convenient location- only a 5-10 minute drive to many WMNF trailheads. We were camped at a water/electric site along the edge of Hayes Field. While the other areas of the campground had nice private sites in the woods this one was a little more in the open but that was okay with us. The bathhouse was clean but has no showers. No Verizon signal whatsoever.

We stayed here in late March. It’s a small campground with no hookups - which we were totally fine with. Mostly tent campers and it was very quiet. Plenty of room between sites with vegetation. Clean bathhouse. No AT&T service, limited Verizon service. The mosquitos were already out so bring the bug spray. Would not recommend staying here in the summer due to the bugs. Try early spring late fall instead.

We stayed here in July. It was hot but the bugs weren’t bad in the shade. While there are trails for hiking, the park is mainly focused on biking so bring your bikes along. The campground is nice and our spot was level and shaded. Didn’t go in the bathhouses but they looked nice on the outside.
