A campground with a lot of potential! Lovely, expansive, shady, environment with many large trees and a beach & dock on the river. Beach was nicely maintained with picnic tables, lounge chairs and a playground. Minutes from I-95, and a calm and a beautiful area. Very kind and helpful staff. Small store with souvenirs and necessities, pool (unfilled when we were there), playground for kids and dogs, yummy smelling pizzas available for delivery to your site. A problem was that one comfort station was rundown and the other was closed completely. Toilets and sinks themselves were clean but the walls, floors and doors were actually filthy. There were showers available, but I didn't use them. A few long term resident trailers were extremely old and ill-maintained. Sites were close together but pleasant, some were level-ish, most would need some element of leveling. If this campground can spruce up, especially the comfort stations, the nightly price would be acceptable and it would be a terrific place to stay. We camped at Santee / Santee Lakes KOA in a campervan.

Very friendly, fun and helpful staff.
The campground is on a hill but most of the sites are level. Very tall pine trees shelter most of the campsites. The air feels fresh and clean. The back of the campground abuts the Black Hills National Forest and the views are fantastic. Campsites in the center of the campground are tighter than along the edges and the tent sites are down the hill and feel very secluded.
Showers are immaculate and set up wonderfully so that your clothes don't get wet and you can change comfortably. Bathrooms are also very clean. There's a sink set-up to wash your dishes at the bathhouse.
The campground office has a great local map and will find out what you're interested in, how long you're staying and then give you advice on where to go. There's so much to do, you could spend a week here. Custer is a very cute town with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops.
Make sure to take the Wildlife Loop in Custer State Park and drive Needles Highway. If your vehicle is too big to pass through the tunnels carved out of the rock, you can rent UTVs in town.
Badlands Ntl Park, Mt. Rushmore, Wind Cave Ntl Park, Air and Space Museum and the Crazy Horse Memorial are all within reach of Big Pine Campground.

Lovely sites with oleander and trees between each site - feels very private. Sites are mostly level pull-throughs. Clean bathrooms with free showers. Concrete pads for chairs and tables with gravel for parking. Water and electric available. Very pretty view of the mountains. Near the Colorado River, but not walkable. Lots of road noise from the highway but it didn't bother us. Mostly class A motorhomes and very large trailers. No picnic tables on the sites.
Apparently near the Laughlin, NV casinos, but we didn't go there. On historic Rt 66.
Apparently, there are many special events for snowbirds from Oct - May. Pool, library (with books and puzzles),.

We ate at the Riverside Cafe on the Colorado River, a very friendly, local restaurant/bar. Good food at a reasonable price. Fun relaxed atmosphere.

By far the most enjoyable campground we've stayed at and by far the most expensive. Part of Walt Disney World, Fort Wilderness is a free boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom and a bus ride away from the other parks. We stayed in the cheapest loops (tents, pop-ups & campervans) with water & electric and the price was $150 a night. Prices change depending on the dates and we stayed during Easter week. Comfort stations, with flushing toilets, laundries, showers and ice machines were clean and up to date. Unfortunately only 2 of the 4 showers were working. Most sites had some shade, some had lots of shade. A concrete pad, grill & picnic table are provided. Recycle bins and trash bins are close to all sites. Sites are hosed down after campers depart. There is not a feeling of being crowded; many large open spaces and woods throughout the campground.
There really is nothing else like Fort Wilderness Campground. It's huge. Many people either rent golf carts to get around or bring their own. Internal buses also get you around the campground. You cannot drive your car to get around the campground. 2 Trading Posts, a bar, a restaurant, a quick service take-out, a food truck, 2 pools, a beach area (no swimming), 4 playgrounds, a large dog park, tennis courts, canoeing/kayaking, fishing , carriage rides, bike rentals, scheduled kids' pool activities and so much more. Many of the extra activities also carry an extra cost. The Disney parks are at your fingertips, but you could spend a week just enjoying the resources at the campground. Fort Wilderness feels calm and relaxing and is beautifully landscaped. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Very close to Sioux Falls is a small comfortable campground with many activities (playground, basketball, volleyball, safe roads for kids biking, boat ramps, fish cleaning stations). This is a great place to camp with kids and/or camp with family and friends. Very dog and child friendly.
Our site was a pull-up site (not a pull through) with plenty of space for our use. A helpful friendly camp host came through to see how we were doing. When he saw that our dog wanted a ride in his golf cart, he invited him up and drove him around a little.
Check in was nice and early; 1:00.
Just an all around comfortable pleasant attractive campground.
The campsite cost us $35.00 plus you have to pay $9 for a South Dakota park pass.
The campground is very close to Sioux Falls and all it has to offer. There's also a funky personal sculpture park on the same road as the campground/ recreational area, the Porter Sculpture Park. You can see some of the sculptures from I-90 or visit in person.
Very nearby is a restaurant, the Lake Life Steakhouse that staff said was quite good. We didn't have time to try it but enjoyed the sign "Lake Life Steakhouse and Bait Shop"
If you're traveling east on I-90 be sure to stop at the Chamberlain Rest Stop to see the Dignity Statue; very impressive and moving.

So many trees, open spaces mixed with campsites, level spacious campsites (some paved, some pull-throughs), a playground, picnic pavilions, paved roads, clean bathrooms/showers, huge variety of interesting birds, lake views and boat/fishing access, hiking trails, and a helpful friendly host. The campground was uncrowded on a Thursday in July. No campground WiFi but a good cell signal with T-Mobile.
Terrific campground but we did have a problem. Every time that we plugged in, the breaker tripped. We changed sites and had the same problem. It turns out that the electricity in the campground is GFCI protected. Turns out that our inverter is itself GFCI protected and didn't work with the campground electrical setup. So no electricity for us. Our camp host said that all Illinois campgrounds have the same electrical setup. We camped at Ramsey Lake State Recreation Area in a campervan.

Stayed in site 6 (a pull through). All things good! Wonderfully landscaped, easy to maneuver through roads. Very large, shady level sites ( a few pull-throughs), many adjacent to woods. Dump station and full hookups available. Accessible sites available. Very friendly rangers, camp hosts, and employees. Pet friendly. Clean comfort stations with flush toilets and showers, centrally located to all campsites. Beautiful environment; hiking trails, lake with dock, boat rentals, fishing, playground, splash pad, large open space for families to play games, small store at entrance. Tent, RV camping and cottages available. Picnic tables at every site. Wi-Fi was fine for me. An absolutely stellar campground. We camped at Magnolia Springs State Park in a campervan.

We stayed one night in the Aspen Loop #16. Pull-through level campsite for small motorhomes or trailers - we stayed in a campervan. No electric or water hookups but a clean picnic table, fire pit, potable water from a pump, flush toilets and sinks in a comfort station.

Friendly campers & staff. So convenient to the sights in the park. Developed walking trails, handicapped accessible trails and bike paths. Free shuttle to many areas of the park. Restaurants, general store, welcome centers, special movie (for an extra charge).

Beware the ravens. They will invade your campsite, root through your belongings and steal any food that they find. Also, elk freely roam throughout the park. Admire them from afar.

Take the free shuttle to avoid having to park.

If you can leave or enter the park via Rt.64 East/West instead of Rt 64 South/North, do so. There are many awesome canyon views from that road.

A wonderful small rustic campground for those who love the outdoors. Large, mostly level shaded, comfortable sites. Our site was a pull through. Some dry tent sites, some just electric, some water & electric. Some road noise at our site, but not bothersome. No frills campground but lovely; hiking trails, steams, accessible sites available, close to Route 77 & 81, beautiful environment, helpful camp hosts. Staff had been cutting down trees and kindly provided firewood at each site. Several comfort stations within a reasonable walking distance; nothing fancy but clean. So many birds! We camped at Stony Fork Campground in a campervan.

Very open park-like setting with some small trees in the central area and taller trees around the perimeter. Water spigots at each site with electric. Large shower/bathroom building but small single person bathrooms are spread around the campground. Easy movement around roads. Easy back-ins and some pull-throughs. Mostly level. Some sites have a water view. Frisbee golf course, playground, basketball, volleyball, boat launch. About 20 minutes off of Rt 70.
The site was nothing special but was comfortable because there was only a site on one side.
We made and online reservation for a specific site. Never saw any staff while we were there overnight.
We stayed in site 52 in a campervan.
