Quick stop. If you get there before 8am you can prob avoid the $5 enters per car. Has RV parking, trash cans, Porto potties, and great views even from the parking lot.
Short walk to the cabin. Great pic opportunity with the cabin and mountains behind. Keep a look out for prairie dogs near the cabins there are a ton!
This falls is now closed due to someone falling off and dying.
This park is amazing, but make sure you book your parking ($10) and entertain ($5 per person) up to 30 days in advance. If you can make the 11 mile hike it’s worth it!

Definitely worth it. Call ahead and see if all the prints are visible. But when we got there they said they were not and we were still able to see the prints that were casted out as well as some prints down by the water so definitely check it out if you’re an avid dinosaur lover you’ll be in love. Lots of trails as well
This is our 2nd time here. It’s now $15 a person to camp or you can get a day pass for less than $5 a person. The buildings are no longer recognizable, but lads of land and baby goats.
A few camp spots for free about 1/2 a mile up the road is a place to camp/horse stables with a pit toilet too. Lots of fire wood, it was free, no AT&T internet service. Enough sun for some solar power. There is a trail/geocache in the camping area.
The camping is free. There are even some spots on the water. It was nice because no one else was camping so we had the place to ourselves except for the occasional person at the boat ramp. Bring your own TP the pit toilets seemed to be out. There is a small trash can and electrical plug near the shed. The road is a dead end so not many cars. The town for gas/food/etc is only about 6 miles away (15 mins)
Love this place! Not only is it free, but the view is breathtaking, picnic tables, and even has a pit toilet (bring tp) there are two spots that are right on the water (it very windy, so wouldn’t suggest a tent setup there) There are 5 spots. You can stay for free for 14 days. It takes a while to get to a town/gas, so get everything before settling in. If you go to Lazy Tom River during dawn or dusk the chances of seeing a moose are high.
Close by is a town called Lincoln that Betty and Barney Hill who were abducted by aliens. The town has some cool facts and inside the gas station has tons of other abductions as well.
