It is a glorified parking lot. Sites are VERY close, BUUUUUT you are right on the beach so that’s cool. If you are on the beach side you have parking for the public right next to your rig. The other side has a road. 🤷🏽‍♀️ it works in a pinch though.

We had a blast but a few notes:
1. Avoid weekends as they have no cap on entrance and are highly understaffed
2. Food pricing is pretty decent but they are so understaffed most waited 45-60 mins in food lines
3. They have a dress code for women to cover up, but are totally ok with men sporting hate tattoo symbols and prison tattoos. It was off putting as a bi racial family to stand in line behind men with huge swastika and White Pride tattoos covering their back.
4. The rides are fun!! They do a great job on safety standards.

We will be back FOR SURE!
pro:
1. staff very nice
2. Loved having a spa on site for a nice massage
3. The kids loved all the activities
4. RV washroom was large and fast
5. Bathrooms and washrooms were clean
6. Public pool hot spring is flushed every 2 days
7. Hidden hot springs are THE BEST
con:
1. sites are not level AT ALL. Like 6-8 inches off. the worst yet on a month long road trip
2. If you stay on the top area and not in the main park it’s a little more private but the sites are horribly uneven and one site the hookups are on the wrong side
3. We didn’t like the public pool as it was very crowded. we opted to hike to the hidden pools

Tunnel 1 for the win! We had to dry camp but it was MUCH better than tunnel 2. we have a lot of Solar so it didn’t even make a dent. tunnel 2 is a parking lot with hook ups. However tunnel 1 was had a BEAUTIFUL spot that both our rig and our friends rigs could park in and create a massive open space for the kids to run around in. It was a little hike to the bus stop but we’ll worth it as we are their first pick up and last drop off.

Beautiful as always. For RV’ers - there is a parking lot at the trail head that has room for you. Park along the sides where it directs rigs and then make the fun hike to see the ice

always beautiful- July busy month notes for RV travelers. You are lucky to find RV parking before 7am. I advise to park at the shopping center and take in the city bus that comes from Banff. Only $2 a person! Or park in overflow and grab the shuttle. When it’s super busy even that’s booked so the bus option works

Absolutely beautiful. A short walk to the beach or up the mountain. We did both in a day and can’t wait to come back!!

This small campground is perfect for families or couples who love that homegrown feel. The new owner has big shoes to feel as the prior owners had a wonderful reputation. She wants to keep the campground the way it has always been which I think is wonderful. The kids loved the zip line and us moms were grateful for the washer and dryer!! We will be back!!

This is our second time staying at this KOA. The first time was 3 years ago and we stayed in one of the back cabins. It was clean and cute to stay in. It was one that looked like an mobile home. The pool at that visit was
Closed because the city came out and tested it and shut it down. Our kids were so sad because it was hot and that was the main reason for booking this KOA. They literally had to drain the pool. To keep them busy we hung out in their reck room. That when we learned there were a few families that lived there either permanently or semi permanently. Nice family however I didn’t know KOA did long time spaces.
This trip we bought an RV in LA and had to drive it home. We were unaware it was the same spot until we pulled in. It was a little after 7pm and the store was closed. Since we JUST got the RV we didn’t have a ton to drink abs I was hoping to hit the camp store. Our fault. The camp host had all the after hour packets ready to grab and made it very easy to find. For us this stop was perfect as we planned to just unpack everything we bought at Walmart and set up our rig (minus the drinks I forgot to buy). They have a small park that we let the kids play at in the morning then hit the road. It’s a solid 3 stars for the high KOA price minus the normal KOA experience we are accustomed too. It’s better than just a plain RV park in this area I’ll give it that. The pool was open this time and I’m pretty sure I saw the same family there we saw 3 years back… just older. Still really sweet.
Friendly service

This is a hidden secret! I don’t know if I want anyone to know about this place. 😁 my family and loved our stay here. Please don’t come. You will have an amazing time and won’t stop smiling at the views, staff and the property.
