Beautiful scenic drive! There are so many stops along the way that make the trip go so fast. There is also a ton of wildlife along the way. I would suggest spending 2-3 days around banff, 1 day driving the Icefields, 1 day in Jasper, and 1 day driving back to the airport area you're flying through on the icefields parkway. Must stops- Mistaya Canyon, Takakkaw falls, Lake Louise, Athabasca Glacier, Peyto Lake. I went in early September and I never felt like the highway was "busy". Occasionally we would pull off to the side to let someone by but no one was ever in our way and for the most part we had the road to ourselves. We spent about 6 hours the first time down it and a little over 3 hours driving back towards Banff the second time.

Seriously blew my mind.. Around every corner there is another set of mountain peaks! Make sure you stop whenever you see a pull out cause there are no roads to turn off on! Take advantage of them!

Beautiful as always. For RV’ers - there is a parking lot at the trail head that has room for you. Park along the sides where it directs rigs and then make the fun hike to see the ice

Gorgeous. I stoped trying to take pictures because there was just too many beautiful places. My favorite stops were Mistaya canyon and Peyoto lake!
