A seeet little park next to the DQ, they have recently added a section of vibraphones to play which sound magical.
This park was beautiful and we were one of the few families camping. Water filling stations and the beach, along with close proximity to Hyde Hall make this a terrific spot before Cooperstown.
Lovely leg stretch side visit off the highway. Worth the few minutes to see the beauty of this place :)
This is a MUST visit spot, for anyone coming thru town. I cannot say enough about the detail, importance and care shown in every exhibit. My children, 8/10 are still asking questions and talking about what they learned and how racism, oppression and marginalization are happening today.
Small residential parking lot and many many steps up to the top for a beautiful view! Worth the trek!!
“Nothings perfect”’ my partner says, yet I do not have anything bad to say… this spot is high up a county road and open to a large valley. There was a beautiful night sky and a gorgeous sunrise. If i *had* to gripe, i would say its so lush with a large variety of desert life, its difficult to wander around after a few adult beverages. Flat camping spots are clearly marked and have fire rings of stones. They are spaced well apart from one another and the upper spots may require high clearance vehicles.
The exhibit has been taken to a Children’s Charity in CA, according to a Whiskey Petes employee. There was an empty plexiglass box where the death car used to be… my kids were bummed, but seemed okay to read the other Whiskey Pete legends around the casino edges. Its a good strech spot and has clean restrooms.
