“See the bullet-riddled Ford V-8”

Located in Whiskey Pete's Hotel & Casino. From an alleged letter from Clyde to Henry Ford to multiple fake Bonnie & Clyde death cars to the journey of the actual car, one '34 Ford still creates quite a stir. The actual 1934 Ford Bonnie & Clyde met their maker in belonged to Ruth & Jesse Warren of Topeka, Kansas, that is, until the bandits stole it. One month later it was found in Louisiana complete with bullet holes and Bonnie & Clyde's blood. The Warrens had to sue the local sheriff just to get back their bullet-ridden car then sue another asshat promoter to get the car back yet again. And like anyone with a car they love... It was a big focal point of the Warrens' divorce. In just a few years the Bonnie & Clyde 1934 Ford had "been to court" 3 different times. Of course, within a few years the vultures were circling too, creating fake death cars and touring them around county fairs and expos. The big rub? With so many fakes the actual car, a potential income earner for Ruth Warren, was now in risk of being considered a fraud too. Fast forward to the release of the blockbuster Bonnie & Clyde and re-circle the frauds, the real car, and the legal teams debating which car was the original. The most-well known fake came from the Lam-Sir Corp of Houston and traveled the south until the cops hauled it away. Supposedly the car ended up in the hands of Warner Brothers as a template for the cars used in the movie. Today, the actual 1934 Ford death car is on display at Whiskey Pete's Casino, but the fakes are still out there. With the anniversary of their death approaching, we can assume they'll come out of the woodwork in full force. Volo Auto Museum, known for all sorts of real and replica famous cars, will actually be presenting a history of the fake cars and show off the Lam-Sir fake itself. -Roadtrippers According to "Seeks Ghosts": "The car itself is also considered haunted by their ghosts. For 30 years this blood splattered, bullet-ridden V8 Ford “Death Car” as it is known, was a popular attraction at carnivals, amusement parks, flea markets and state fairs. It is estimated that it made it various owners millions of dollars. Today the car is displayed in a room along with Clyde Barrow’s bloodstained, bullet holed shirt at Whiskey Pete’s Casino in Primm, Nevada just across the border from California. Several people who have viewed the Ford over the years state they got a creepy unnatural feeling as they stood near it. Yet again, many people who have taken photographs of this car have picked up strange anomalies in their pictures."

My husband loved this spot. It is not at the location marked. It's actually at Whisky Petes across the street. There's a little exhibit, also including documents, pictures and Clyde's "death shirt." The car was behind glass walls so you can't get too close to the actual car. Because it's in a casino we got in and out pretty fast as we had kids with us. They just asked us to bring them in via the outer edges of the room.

It’s now at the Primm Valley casino. Go to the “Casino Mall Entrance” and up the escalator.

It’s located in the Whiskey Pete’s casino. We stopped and ate inside then looked at the car. A nice stop to our road trip. Mask were required inside.

Really cool exhibit, even if there's doubt that the car might not be genuine. There's a few "death cars" floating around the U.S. that have been featured in different exhibits and films, but it's widely thought that this is the ACTUAL car Bonnie and Clyde died in.

Very weird to see in real life. Make sure you check out Clyde's blood-stained shirt while you're there!

The exhibit has been taken to a Children’s Charity in CA, according to a Whiskey Petes employee. There was an empty plexiglass box where the death car used to be… my kids were bummed, but seemed okay to read the other Whiskey Pete legends around the casino edges. Its a good strech spot and has clean restrooms.

After going to the Bonnie & Clyde ambush site and the museum located in the restaurant where they picked up breakfast before the ambush... We had to see the real car! We have been fascinated with the story of Bonnie & Clyde and seeing the car was the final stage. They also have Clyde's shirt he was wearing and Al Capon's bullet proof car on display.
