We really enjoyed our stay at Small Country. Staff was super friendly Sand had some great activities. Bingo, Karaoke, Hay ride. Great fishing pond and swim beaches. Great areas for pets. The pool wasn’t open but I’m sure it will be great. The camp store is brand new and provides all you need. Upstairs is a great little arcade/activity room. The putt putt course was better than most I’ve seen. Bathrooms were clean and the laundry room was just what you need.

Lancaster KOA is a great place to stay when in PA Amish Country. The staff is very friendly. Amenities are great. WiFi worked great for us (we were right by the office), bathrooms/shower suites were very clean and warm, cable was good but we don't camp to watch TV. I would definitely recommend it and we'll book here again if we come back up. We were in site 10 right by the office and bathhouse. I like watching people come and go. TIP: visit the Amish bakery across the street-Fri/Sat

We were here for Oyster Fest 2021 in Urbanna VA. It was a great time. Arrived on Wed and departed Sunday. Wed and Thursday was light but by Friday it was nuts to butts. Oyster Fest weekend is one of the only weekends that they double book sites but there is enough room and everyone still has full hookups so no issues there. Its a rowdy time so if you go to bed at 8PM you should pack ear plugs. Otherwise everyone was great and met a ton of likeminded thinkers... Lets just say "LetsGoBrandon" was heard a few times... LOL.

Arrival was great, was met at the gate by a staff member in a cart who took us to our spot and we were able to pull through which was nice.

If you come bring a rake because the pine trees put straw everywhere... Sites are level but if it rains they can get pretty muddy.

Cable TV worked fine for me but some others couldn't get it to work.

They are doing some significant upgrades/construction so that should be very nice when they are done. 200 new sites, new store, pools, etc.... Would like to come back in the summer and fish the ponds so see how they are.

We were here with 12 other folks in 6 other RV's. We will be back for Oyster Fest next year.

We stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend. What a great spot. The waterfront spots were excellent. Sites are narrow but they are level and you have a very large space behind your trailer for fire pit, etc. the new owners have done an outstanding job with upgrades. Views are superb, waking up to a painted sky during rise is a great way to start the day. It’s very convenient to Kitty Hawk which is about 20 minutes down 158.

The road going in is very narrow and 25mph is strictly enforced.

To be as busy as it was the campground was very quiet at night which was great for us.

The pathway along the sea wall made an excellent path to walk the dogs.

The Wi-Fi was iffy but that could be our position with the external antennas. I think we were too close to the dipole antennas to get a good signal which is totally possible.

South of the Border is the Vegas of I95… only without the gambling, show girls, and sin of every kind… ok it’s a bright spot and tourist trap but Camp Pedro is a jewel. We needed an overnight spot on a trip south to Ga.

Site was dead nuts level, key card access to the campground, very clean and plentiful shower/laundry houses, clean campground, access to the pool at the hotel on SOB. Couldn’t access the Wi-Fi from my spot but cell coverage is good.

They have pull thrus with FHU on BOTH SIDES… Never seen that before.

Highly recommend Camp Pedro for a clean and quiet stay over.

We are pleased with this KOA. Sites are close but it’s a KOA and they are in the business of packing campers in. People that complain about close sites need to stay out of KOA’s and stick to state parks. Our particular site is great. Very roomy and not on top of our neighbors on the camp side. Facilities are nice and staff is friendly and super attentive. Wi-Fi is great/fast but can lag when the park is busy, repeaters all over… cable is fine, OTA works too. Showers are clean and are individual locking rooms. Can’t really say anything bad about it, BTW we are staying in the section with the Civil War trench so it’s very wooded and shaded. There’s another section that’s full sun, wouldn’t want to be in that section when it’s 100 out. Give it a try, people tend to complain easily and compliment rarely.

This is a massive campground on Lake Thurmond, absolutely massive. We get to the site (site 114) and I do pre-walk since its about 100 yards down an access road and sites 113 and 144 T off. Most of the ones on this loop are situated like that. I'm like... ok... Lets start by saying we have about a 22' trailer, much bigger and this wouldn't have happened. I know I'm not going to go head in and negotiate the turn because 113 was occupied, if it had been empty you can nose into 113 and back into 114. I started to back down the curved access path (they should take out a tree or two, just saying). and spent the next 30 minutes mustering every ounce of backing skill I could. 20 or 30 exceedingly frustrating minutes later I get it backed into the site and steel myself for the next issue, leveling. I look at the spirit level I have on the nose and miracle of miracles its dead nuts level. Que the halleluiah chorus of camper angels... Setup after that was normal. Well... normal except that the water and electric are on the camp side so I had to run the cord/hose under the trailer, no big deal. Having them on the utility side would have ruined the view you are rewarded with once the 7th level of Dante's Inferno is negotiated.... What a view, picture postcard worthy. 114 is about 25 yards from the lake and its a perfect little rocky beach to go sit, wade, swim let the dogs frolic or just be....

Site 114 is a great site but be aware what you are getting into, you will be rewarded with outstanding views, solitude and no one (except 113) for a long distance.

The bath house is a drive, I wouldn't want to walk it but that's why we have bathrooms. I did use our outdoor shower to bath but with no one around if you wanted to do it au-natural you sure could...

I grew up in Waycross and spent a lot of time at Laura Walker State Park in my youth at the day use area and group camping areas. This was my first time in the RV section. My experience was top notch. Very, very spacious lots. You could play football between some of them. Lot 4 was across the street from water, it was perfect for our dogs. Staff and camp hosts are super friendly and helpful. Can’t really think of any cons…. There are two very clean shower houses/laundry facilities in the RV section, good water and power, convenient dump station with a good long black water flush hose. The sites are water and electric so bring a poop tote. There are two FHU spots but those are available only to handicap/special physical needs campers. If you’re into hiking or Geocaching there are great trails and caches along them all around the park and lake. It’s posted for alligators but they stay on the north side and no where near the swimming areas. Fishing and boating opportunities are excellent too. I pulled many large mouth bass and catfish out of that lake in my youth.

Very convenient to Waycross for shopping. Check out Okefenokee Swamp park in either Folkston or Waycross for close encounters with massive gators shed other swamp critters. Gated access that is locked at night. They give you a code do you can enter/exit after hours. Law enforcement (County sheriff and game wardens) are ever present not because there’s issues but because they are very visible. If you fish make sure you have the proper license.

Stayed here one night on a trip south from Va. great campground. We arrived after 5 so our packet was waiting on us. Site was great. Level, some grass and sand, this is South Ga so typical of the landscape. Bathhouse was excellent, it got the double thumbs up seal of approval from my wife and that’s a high bar. Nice clubhouse and pool even though we didn’t use it. Animals were cool to see and walk through the petting zoo. Large dog park and adjacent pickle ball court. Rate is normally $50 but with Passport America it’s 50% off.

Didn’t connect to the Wi-Fi so can’t comment on that, had great cell reception on Verizon.

Go check out Capt Stans in Woodbine. It’s a total dive (my kind of place) great food and cold beer.

We stayed here this weekend (April 1-3) as a base camp for the 2022 Stratford Hall Oyster and Wine Festival. Sites were nicely arranged for our group. Nice wooded sites that provide enough pick up wood to supplement what you buy there ($9 a bundle). Great trails to explore. The Fossil Beach hike is very nice. It wore our dogs out… it’s about a mile in and you are rewarded with a great beach to hunt sharks teeth. The rangers have a lot of programs for kids. If you Geocache there a a lot of nice caches to find.

Site A31 was great. Only needed one block to get perfectly level but could have been fine without it. Nice fire ring with adjustable cooking rack.

Dump station is convenient on the main road in.

Closest store is a convenience store right outside the park gate. Full grocery store is about 30 min away in Montross.

Bathroom was clean.

Very nice State park overall.
