Located on the northern side of Charlottesville, Heavenly Acres is not a large campground. Some sites were very wooded and private whereas others were open. What made it unique is the "caboose" cabins that can be rented.

This is a trailer park with mostly permanent residents. The roads are potted out and because there were several days of rain, a mud hole. LOUD parties on either sides of us (two different nights) lasted until past 3 am. There was no consideration of other campers. Our electricity kept tripping off and we had to call the office to have it reset because we couldn't do it at the box. After the third time in about two hours, the office staff told us to stop using over 30 amps. We hadn't even been using 25 plus our system automatically senses the load and drops something if we go over. My husband went to the box and plugged into site 9 instead. No more problems. Our overall experience here was unpleasant. One positive was it provided WiFi.

Beautiful campground with spacious, level sites set with gravel and plenty of green space. The outer loop is set in the trees although we didn't camp there due to it being the buggy season.
