Mira River Provincial Park Campground

Beautiful campground with spacious, level sites set with gravel and plenty of green space. The outer loop is set in the trees although we didn't camp there due to it being the buggy season.

Very large campground with many sites. Loops are spread out over a large area.
Our site was a dry camping site. Others offer water or water & electric.Some sites are wooded, others open, and some have water views.

This campground has some of the biggest and nicest campsites I’ve experienced in Nova Scotia. It is centrally located near all of the major attractions. The campground has a nice playground and good swimming area.

Boil water advisory at this campground Sept 2022. Arrived with an empty tank expecting to be able to get water in our tank for basic necessities. Really disappointed we weren't notified via email, phone, or text about this situation, we would have gotten water before arriving.

Otherwise, this is a pretty campground with decent privacy, showers were good. Campground road is poorly marked for the exit and full of potholes, Only stayed for one night so didn't get much if a chance to explore. We were there on a Saturday so the usual weekend partiers, barking dogs, and screaming kids.

I'd stay here again, but call first to see if they have potable water.
