If it’s the only park available then I’d pick another date or realize you are paying way too much and it’s is NOT a resort. Pictures are deceptive! Pool is not heated, no spa, “water front” not all spaces have a view of the pond unless you pay an additional $30 to secure your spot. We did not pay that additional fee and were put in a corner with no view of water but facing a storage facility and laundry building. Also in the am many creepy crawling bugs, all round the concrete pad. If you do stay just pay for the cheapest space, Blanco is a cute town but can be seen in a day. I’m tired of campgrounds calling themselves “resorts” and charging these ridiculous fees for no resort amenities! Maybe in the heat of summer and you have little kids that want to splash in water it’d be worth it.

Friendly & helpful making reservations. Stayed only one night as we passed through. We liked how wide the space wwas and pull thru fit our 54’ setup.
Light sleepers beware, you do hear the train, another just passed at 1230! I like the sound off in the distance, it’s not rattling the rig or anything.

We didn’t fit in marked spaces but when we arrived at 9:30pm they were pretty empty. I quickly went in and shopped and spent $150, more than avg 2 nights w full hookups but they’re country store selection was the best so it was a win - win! We had breakfast next morning so I feel we returned their hospitality. Thank you CB for assisting us tired travelers who need a place to lay their head and eat a great breakfast!
Nice, quiet spot to boondock. Little tricky to get in but room enough for large RVs. We’re 38’ foot class A towing and no issues. Spent 1 night only, very appreciated to the city and thank you to ALL veterans for giving so much.
Check in was easy, map on door of office. We followed map to our site 18 pull in, however the street sign says one way to the right. So we passed our turn and could not pull into our site. Had to go into another empty site up the hill to turn around. This is NOT A MEADOW, with flat sites. You are on a hill with very pot holed streets that gets your rig tipping hard! There are ditches along street for water to drain down hill so you best be a hood driver or you’ll end up in one trying yo get into your space. We are 39’ Class A and hubby excellent driver so he had no issue with me guided each inch of the turn around and getting in our site. Don’t let pull in fool you, it’s still a challenge. Our site was very roomy and great views of surrounding trees. It is a mix of full timers. I was prepared for that cover shot of a flat meadow park, so I’m adding picture so you can see an actual site. You will definitely need your jacks, our rig looked completely tilted however inside we were leveled. We passed several nicer parks closer to the towns and next to water. Our site had trash which looked like some sort of structure fell down and no one bothered to pick up the plastic siding. Rough roads and pot holes need to be fixed so it’s safer to maneuver! Wifi spotty not hood enough for streaming.

Located next door to an expo center & fairgrounds. Nightly fireworks that are so close you can almost feel the sparks raining down! Extremely upsetting to pets! The percussion blasts were so strong our automatic awnings came in!! Next there’s the flood lights from the parking lot. Had to keep our night shades closed at sunset as the lights were blindingly bright! How they pack people in here amazes me! Guess everyone is here for the horse racing etc next door. At least we think that’s what all the yelling was about all day. Not all sites have sewer so make sure you ask if you dare to stay at the noisiest campground in America!!

We are just under 39’ Motorcoach and we were able to maneuver to our pull thru by narrowly missing a couple huge trees. If you’re longer than 40’, just know going in, it’ll be tight. We always unhook, had we not, been stressful. Friendly checkin, pool was filled w kids so no way we were going in! It is a kid atmosphere so great for families so kids can meet friends. Caution if waterfront or using the lake, 2 year old was found in alligators mouth a few miles away at that lake! I wouldn’t recommend waterfront if you have pets you like to sit outside with, but then again, most campsites are so small, not nice big enough. It’s more for kids to mingle or as headquarters as you visit St Pete and Fort de Soto which were both great! The bike trail is what caught my eye but it’s a concrete trail through the city. Does help keep you off the roadways but if you want to get to the beach, you’ll need to venture off the trail.

Staff was very friendly & helpful. It’s easy to get in & out. We are 39’ class A towing a vehicle and we had a pull thru. We wanted to visit Charleston and this was not too far. We’d recommend it. Only complaint is, the “grass” area of our pull thru site, they are all over grown with those clover looking weeds with the burs that get in your dogs hair and you have to cut out! They were mowing all over the park and it’s well maintained except our area, standard pull thru site 056. The elite pull thrus as you first enter were gorgeous if you want to lounge outside etc but we were only using park to rest. Hubby says bath showers were nice.

Very nice people welcomed us and directed us to our site. We were given a bag we thought had our info for our stay, but it was only town information. They say they have free high-speed WiFi we would have loved to use but there was zero info on the campground. The office is not onsite so no one to ask and no one answers the phone after hours.
No WiFi passwords, no info on the laundromat, nothing. Not sure if there are showers, hubby likes to use the campground showers as they’re bigger than our rig but he couldn’t find restrooms maybe they don’t have them? Also in the pull thru site, the utilities are very far back so if you want to hookup sewer, you’ll need 2 hoses so we decided to dump at next stop.

What a beautiful park. Pull up to a river view site, plenty of room between spaces and we were fortunate to have no one on either side of us. So interesting to watch the river barges float by, got excited every time I heard the hum of their engines. Grassy, spacious site and just a few steps from water’s edge. We stayed because of YouTubers Keep Your Daydream, but we were even more impressed than what they said. Recommend asking for pull in site if you are in a motorhome w large front window. The views are amazing!! Sunset was beautiful!!
