We arrived a little before 4 PM. Even though we were early, we got checked in. The guy who checked us in seemed a bit irritated. The phone was ringing, and he had us there. It clearly showed, as he rolled his eyes.

There was another man, maybe maintenance? Offered to being us a wine bucket and ice, and a bottle opener. (We were getting wine in the lobby). That was super nice. When he brought it, he even confirmed if we got the extra pillows we requested. (We had 4, so we assumed yes).

We were in room 113. No explanation or map to where the room was. That was a bit odd. But we found it. I definitely wish they had info and a map of the property. We kind of wondered around, and feel we may have missed seeing some stuff.

We had a terrace which was nice. Although it was pretty dirty. Lots of leaves and the table and chairs were covered in leaves and dirt. We didn't end up using them. But the view of the bridge was pretty neat.

The bed was pretty comfortable. The sheets were "pilled". I hate that. To me, it's very uncomfortable to sleep on. Definitely need different sheets.

It is a bit loud. Especially during dinner. I believe it's right above where we were, and every time somebody got up from their chair, you can hear the chair scraping on the cement. The plumbing is also super loud. I'm pretty sure there was a pipe that went right down next to our bed. Any time water rushed through it woke me up.

The people at breakfast kind of acted like, what do you want. They stop there just staring like we didn't belong there. We thought we were in the wrong place. I would think they would know what we want, being as it's breakfast time, and they're in that spot where we get it. But, eh. One day we got a hash brown, two sausage, and 3 french toast sticks. The next day we got 2 bacon, scrambled eggs, a blueberry muffin, and an english muffin. It was all okay. Luke warm. Chewy bread. Definitely had been sitting there awhile.

There's is a mini fridge in the room, but no microwave. There is a keurig machine for coffee. Asking for more coffee was a bit of an ordeal as well.

Everything was clean. We ate at the restaurant one night. Again, the staff isn't really friendly. Just kind of there. But the food is amazing. Small portions. But it's enough. We had the filet mignon, which was so delicious. And the chicken picata was amazing.

Overall, it was a nice stay.

It's a cute hop out, hope in, stop. There is the tree, a huge burl, and a small river behind. There is also a gift shop. We did not go in.

Comes up quick. You can easily miss it if you're not looking for it.

Pretty darn delicious! We ordered 2 B combos. On one, we got the pineapple meatballs that were absolutely amazing. One of our favorite things. We also got the teriyaki chicken which was good. And for the sides, we got macaroni salad, which was okay. And pineapple coleslaw that was pretty good.

The second we got ribs that were good. The kahlua pork was absolutely delicious! And the white rice and potato salad, both were really good. We took home some pineapple upside down cake that was so amazing! And some banana cake that was really good.

Overall, we loved this place. If we're in the area again, we will definitely come back.

Fun to see. Literally a 5 minute stop, if you get out of the car. It's right next to the Safeway grocery store. It's pretty darn big. Hard to get a photo of it all. We parked across the lot to get a photo.

Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area, but not worth going out of your way for.

It's very pretty here. The views are great. Lots of parking. There are two sides. One side has a pier, a restaurant, and a little sheltered cove. The other is a large beach.

Very windy. Even with warm temps. Bring a coat.

For the price of the rooms, customer service should be top notch. We arrived a little after 4:00PM to find out our room wasn't ready yet. Check in time is apparently 3:00 p.m.. We tried to be understanding, but the front desk girl was less than apologetic. She basically acted like we were inconveniencing her by being there, and shooed us away.

After waiting about 20 more minutes, we went up and asked if it was ready yet. She kind of seemed confused, as if we haven't spoken 20 minutes ago. She finally texted someone to check. It needs to be inspected she says. We're tired. We just traveled all day. So we tell her we don't care if it's checked. She finally gave us our key.

We got the Star Trek themed room. It was cute. a wall mural, a few books, and some curtains. It could be fine up a bit more. But it was cute.

Water pressure in the shower was terrible. The restaurant attached was awesome. Delicious food. No doubletree cookies, apparently due to Covid. Super disappointed, but I guess we understand.

The parking area was confusing. We couldn't figure out how to put in our ticket, and card. So we ended up paying with our credit card just to get out. There was a pile of cars behind. We got another charge to our room. But we called, and they took it off. Overall, it was a bit of a disappointing stay.

Pretty fun to go around and find. We found like 8 or 9. There is a map at the visitors center at the train depot. There's like 6 boots there too.

Such an awesome find! What a treat. The atmosphere alone. It's... Happy. The statutes make you smile. Leave them a donation! They definitely deserve it. And pick up your trash!
