Beautiful building and grounds. The gift shop is open on Saturdays, which means you can go inside and look around and use a restroom!
I booked on the app, and as soon as I hit submit, we realized it was the wrong hotel. We immediately called the hotel to cancel. They had the reservation all of 5 minutes. My husband worked for Hilton in management for 5 years, so I KNOW they didn't have to do that. She did that because she WANTED to. I've had to cancel reservations in the past, last minute, that was 100 percent my fault, and was willing to pay. No other Hilton property has ever charged. Usually very understanding. So the fact they did this for a 5 minute reservation just blows me away!
The lady who answered so incredibly rude! So short, mumbled, and seemed extremely annoyed. Immediately put us on hold but held the phone so we could hear EVERYTHING. Tacky and extremely unprofessional. She definitely needs more training. Maybe she came from Notel 6. Sounds like their kind of standards and far from the Hilton Standards.
So we asked to cancel our ONE night reservation made by mistake. She says you're sure you want to cancel the WHOLE thing? Um, yes, cancel the WHOLE night. Can you rent half a night here???? Ewww! She was talking so stern and talked so fast. So she says she will cancel it.
I wake up in the morning to emails saying they tried to charge my LOCKED card. She never said she would charge. And I wouldn't have paid for a reservation they had for 5 minutes anyway. She done bumped her head! This place is shady. I will NEVER attempt to stay here in the future. Rude, staff. Shady happening. Pass! I'm a gold member. A few stays away from diamond. If this is how they treat loyal guest, watch out! They aren't there for the guest. They only care about your dollar !
Not worth a drive out of the way unless you're going to the park. The park is pretty awesome. Bubbles is right out front. No need to pay, or anything just for bubbles.
This place is pretty cool. 13 buck to get in, and you get a mermaid show that's pretty awesome. A boat ride, which, well, was glad it was free. Lol. And a Ranger talk with multiple animals. And, it was funny and educational. There are peacocks everywhere and even saw an albino one. You can swim in a small section that is roped off for swimmers. During the summer months, the waterpark is open. (Also included in the 13 bucks). Can't wait to go back for that! There is a beach with sun chairs. A gift shop. And a restaurant. I LOVE this place!
Amazing place. We really enjoyed it. Adults are $13. Worth every penny! We took a tram ride from the, I guess back. That alone was fun. Lol.
Everybody we encountered was so friendly and helpful. Nice gift shop. A few stands with snacks and drinks.
We saw lots of manatees and babies! So many different birds. A black bear, a hippo, fox, snakes, so many fish!
It's not a huge place. We spent a little over an hour there. Definitely could have stretched it longer. Easy walk. A few places with stairs (and ramps). But to get down to the underwater viewing, only stairs. About 11 or 12. Multiple bathrooms.
Just a relaxing day, watching animals. You can't feed any of them. But, there are binoculars around, so bring quarters.

I ordered through Uber eats. Order came pretty quickly.
We got the dive and dime. Delicious, but somein it was pretty spicy. I like spicy, but my husband does not. There was nothing in the description that should be spicy. We did not order the mushroom gravy. Maybe that's what they gave us.
We got the chicken and waffles. The chicken is super delicious. The waffle was okay. The syrup was good. Didn't taste like cheap syrup. We also got the grits. Basic. Taste like corn. Would be better sweet. We also ordered the hasbrown cake. It was supposed to have gouda and chives. But we only got a greasy glob of hadbrowns with nothing on them. We didn't eat them.
Overall, the food is mediocre. Not amazing. Not terrible.
Cute hotel. Kind of reminds me of a college dorm. Very modern. Not very warm or inviting. Everything seems.... I don't know... hard and sterile. Lol. It's not cozy. I kind of felt like I was hanging out in a lobby all evening.
We asked for a ground floor room and was accommodated. The room had 2 queens. A bit small. Some shelving but no closet. No dresser. Basically 2 beds, a desk and hard chair, television bench table/seat and a small night stand between the beds. No table or shelf on the opposite sides of the beds. The beds are platform beds and hard as a rock. I did not sleep comfortably.
The bathroom has a large shower. With soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in the shower, and a liquid soap dispenser by the sink. Lemon scented. Water pressure was really good.
The staff is all nice. We had waters waiting in the room. They gave us a bag for our pets. A ball, dog treats, and a poopie bag. Very kind. But we have cats. However, we will gift them to my moms dog whom we are going to visit.
Close to restaurants. Easy in and out. Breakfast was what tou typically see at Hiltons. We just got coffee. But they had eggs, sausage, grits, bagels, yogurt, etc.
So beautiful! We love visiting the Capital Buildings in each state. I'm curious to why the new one. The old one is just down the road. A little love and would be great. Both are beautiful.
Curious why they built a new one. There is nothing wrong with this one. Lol. The new o eis a block away.
