How could we resist camping at the Hume Lake Campgrounds? The facilities are so clean and well cared that camping lovers cannot stay away for a second.

One of the greatest things you can see at the area is the Giant Sequoia National Monument. And it is really GIANT! It is magnificent to know the age of this tree and how it stands healthy and growing after so many years and weather changes.

The tree is empty from beneath and looks like it is held and growing by its roots and only. Such an interesting landmark!! My kids played hide and seek at the roots of it. Entering below the tree gives you the impresson of exploring a cave!

No doubt we are coming back next year to camp!! Everything is so interesting and clean! There are small food shops and amenities on site.

Heading to Diablo Range in California, one can see the highest point of San Benito Mountain from all over the driveway.

Take the turn to San Benito Mountain Research Natural Area and get ready to see the fantastic surroundings, the rare plantation and the great amount of trees existing.

Sit by the lake and eat your lunch while listening to bird sounds flying above you. Simply magestic!!

The Ventana Double Cone is so close to Bottcher's Gap. While we were travelling southwest we saw that there is a trail leading up to the mountain.

The trail is rocky and has not much of trees around. As it elevates it offers you views on nature and trees. In the beginning there is not much shade in order to get some rest underneath so you have to be patient until you get to the tree area.

During the hiking you can see different trails which lead to the campsite areas and its in your hand to follow them or just continue hiking for fun.

Glorious views from up there but go there prepared with appropriate clothing.

What a structure!!! It is so amazing to see what humans are able to do. Nature gets manipulated by the human hands, but sometimes the result is terrific.

This happened with Bixby Canyon Bridge, as the whole structure followed he appropriate site analysis and was created this way in order to blend with the natural background.

Amazing to see and photograph.

What a gorgeous walk this one to Pfeiffer Beach we had, The whole family was satisfied.

The water is crystal clear and then it tends to become a deep blue or even purple, if you get to see further on.

There are people visiting and they sit to admire this scenic background of the beach. This is what we did after walking..

Strongly recommended.

If you want to go for adventure then Carrizo Plain National Monument is what you are looking for.

Every trail has its own adventures to offer you. You have to be prepared though for long walks and be equipped with appropriate shoes, clothes, water and food if you want to enjoy your hike and not get tired and bored quickly.

Take your cameras with you, there are wild animals such as antilopes wandering around.

Since this visit is free of charge we decided to enter and admire the flowerbeds of all kinds of flowers.

Everyone was amazed that this place is so well kept and cared.

You can get informed about everything is you ask someone from the staff. There are classes provided that guide you through each step of this parks creation.

Very interesting and educating for the kids.

Such an interesting place to visit! It includes everything! Adventures, natural creations, wildlife exhibits, even a pancake room!

Just right at the Kings Canyon, this place is a must for the whole family. Dozens of people were visiting the place when we went and it got a bit tight, but still it was a great experience for all of us. What you get to see while being there is totally natural and gorgeous.!

Tucked somewhere at Grapevine Canyon, Scotty's Castle is a building that represents the era of 20's and 30's.
It used to be the house and place for relaxation of Walter Scott, an engineer at the time.Ranger-guided tours are available for everyone to see the internal beauty of this Castle.

We took the tour and really got to know the creator of this place. It was very worth it and even the children were surprised for what is hidden behind the philosophy of this building.
