Nice area would like to come back in the summer, all the rest rooms and water were shut off for the season but we did have electric so that was nice. You have to reserve on line at Recreation.gov. It’s an older camp ground but I’m sure in the summer that’s the place to be, they have a beach area, playground and pavilion area very family orientated...

We had YouTube free camping on our route to Colorado. We called the city hall before hand for some information ℹ️ on there free camping, we pulled in sometime in late afternoon we just started to unhook when a couple of city workers came and asked us to move due to the rain that they were expecting that would flood out the park, they were very polite and asked if we would move to the top and they would turn on the electric for us. We later went up to the City Hall to make a donation the people they were very friendly we had people come in the evening stop and chat with us we will definitely do it again thank you Deshler for the great 2 tonight Stay...

We called the park number on the Campendium app, to our understanding the park was open.We arrived to find the gate closed but just before you get quaking aspen there is a road to the right if you are coming from hwy 40 take that road and you see pull outs just pick one. There will be a fork in the road say to the right, if you go left trucks go through there and there’s a lot of dust. It’s pretty quiet and not much traffic goes through. There was a lot of plastic alcohol bottles laying all around my husband walked around and picked up a huge trash bag of plastic alcohol bottles. Please people this is free to us pack it in pack it out it’s not that hard if you can bring it in throw it in the back of your car make your car look trashy not for the next person to have to pick up after you...

Easy to fined right off of I40 busy during the day but quiet at night, they have electric at every site and there are 5 sites the water is set up a little weird so make sure you have a long enough hose and a splitter or just fill up ur tank before hand. There is a showers and bathrooms on the other end of the park there is a dump station there to but no water to rinse out your tank.

Thank goodness I did my homework and didn’t go off off the reviews seeing that they were posted in 2019. You have to go on to recreation.gov to book it and good luck trying. Since Covid the parks that were FCFS are no longer.
Really nice, clean, and quite had amazing views of the water. Toilets and showers not fond of but in a pinch would take a shower just older bathrooms and showers.

This is a great place to stop over night, there is something for everyone to do. This park comes with a whole lot of things to see and do, we go from history, art, animal’s, tennis, golf frisbee, canoeing, and I’m sure there is more. $10 a night no hookups but there is water and a dump station by the restrooms. I can’t comment on the bathrooms I didn’t go in. What also made it nice was it was patrolled several times while we were their. Thank you to the Blue
