We stayed here for 2 nights visiting the area and Rt. 66 museum. Free 30 amp and water hookups. Max free stay is 4 and heavy fines for exceeding their nice gesture. The site is asphalt and long enough for our 36' fifth and 1 ton crew cab long bed truck. Owls nest in the trees lakeside and were calling across the lake. There are white ducks, one particular duck quacks announcements of a car driving the park - it's pretty comical. It's a great find for free and lakeside to boot. First come, first served. We'd definitely stay here again.

Free paved spot right on the lake with electric and water! 4 day max stay every 30 days, but what a gift to us travellers! It's only minutes off 40/Route 66. The water is tricky to find. Look for a plate sized sewer grate in the grass a few feet back between the 1st and 2nd or 3rd and 4th spots. When you lift the grate marked "WATER", there's a valve already split for both spots. The area around the RV spots is clean and well maintained with picnic shelters. Fyi, there are not tables at the sites, but still... Clean, beautiful, free, full hook up spots on the water!

These kinda of places are far and few between... Free Lakeside Camping with hookups is almost unheard of, but that's exactly what you get here.

I don't have much to add to what the other reviewers noted except a few negatives... We noticed quite a bit of trash around. At first I thought it was just that the place wasn't well maintained, but after seeing a city truck come by and the incredible winds in guessing the trash is just stuff that blown in from elsewhere or out of the garbage.

At the time of our visit they were constructing a new bathroom facility; thank God for that because the existing vault toilets smelled so bad it was almost over powering.

There are water hookups but you'll have to hunt a little bit for them. They are about 30 feet back from the spots toward the lake under circular metal covers labeled "water". The 30 and 50 amp pedestals installed look brand-new to boot!

A note on availability... We came in the afternoon on a Monday and there were two (our of five) open spots. The remaining spots filled up by about 4 or 5pm, and we did notice one camper come in at night looking for a spot to no avail. Since these spots are available on a first come first served basis with a 4 day limit, the chances of you getting a spot are pretty good if you come in the afternoon during a week day.

The lake water isn't clear, but that's to be expected in this area. The bottom of the lake was sandy, so if you wanted to swim you wouldn't get mucked out. There is a boat launch and a separate fishing dock as well.

Strong Verizon and AT&T cell service as well (16mbps up/down on Verizon with MIMO antenna).

The park itself has a frisbee golf course and lots of open space run the dog around. Watch out though, the grass has little spherical prickers which can stick to bare feet.

There were a couple ponies at the farm directly next to the park that were very friendly; the kids loved 'em.

Folks, if you're looking for free Lakeside Camping with partial hookups in an area close to civilization but not noisy, this is the place for you. What a gem, so glad Campendium turned us on to this place!

Just like those before me whats not to like, nice level sites, electric, water and a beautiful lake to wake up to. We stayed in March still cool only needed light jacket. Plenty of room for the dogs and nice paved walking.

Go down S Washington Ave and you’ll see it on your R. Arrive on the morning when others are leaving, or have a backup plan

We are traveling through OK and decided this was the spot to stay. We are happy to say that it was accommodating to all of our needs. Beginner disc golf course, bathrooms, hot showers, etc. Although there is no designated tent camping site, we perched up between two trees down by the water and experienced no trouble. Would stay again if we happened to be passing by.

Who gets electric & water for no cost these days? Great value if 1 of the 5 sites are open! Bring extra hose & a 'Y' because the 5 sites share 3 water connections that are spaced between sites. Signage states campers can stay 4 days in a 30 day time period. Sites are sloped but with typical RV leveling skills this isn't a problem. Park is clean, trash cans & a large dumpster are close. Flush toilets & basic showers (no cost) are a short walk away & clean. Easy access & only a short distance from I-40 but far enough away that it's quiet. When we arrived at 1 PM on a Wed. 3 sites were empty & 1 camper left shortly after we arrived. At 5 PM nobody else has arrived. Can't beat the lakeside location or the price!

We stopped here traveling from Tennessee to Arizona. The location was perfect for us. We arrived around 7:30pm and were still able to find a spot where we could set up our tent. There were bathrooms and showers that were available to everyone free of charge. 100% would recommend to anyone else.

We were lucky to get two of the five free sites which included electricity, water was available if you needed it but not suitable for hooking up. The central dump was not great due to the height of the connector. Overall a great place to spend a few days, some cars toured the park in the middle of the night which was a little disconcerting but no problems occurred.

The other reviews wrap this one up pretty good. We stayed here over Thanksgiving Day, cooked a feast and enjoyed our stay. It was to cold and windy to do much in the park, but the lake is a nice view right out your window.

Showers were hot and clean, although you do have to push the button every 5 seconds. Uhhh. There is also Super Walmart one exit away to stock up if necessary.
