No campsite signage as you enter Asher Loop to suggest which way to go but both sides connect at lake. No water at sites do fill up before you come or at threaded spigots throughout. We loved our site but Verizon in this loop was little to none. We need it for remote work so we moved to the Ridge Loop which was better. Very quiet.

We moved here from Asher for better Verizon as we work from rig. More shady sites, fairly easy to maneuver our 40’ 5er on roads and site. Many sites a little unlevel. Verizon is spotty and best around sites 26 and 18 and at entrance. Sites are $3 cheaper here in the Ridge Loop and some have 50amp. Water spigots are threaded and spread out in both camp Loops. No access to lake from sites in this loop. Trees are thicker but well trimmed. Very quiet.

FHU. Maybe 10 sites with some trees. Level, quiet, easy pull through. Laundry, showers, bathrooms and a cafe and gas station. Can get windy. No choice for 3G Verizon but that’s all we got without a booster.

Price reflects 1/2 off Sr. Pass. We stayed here on our way to (and again from) Great Basin. Easy access for big rigs. Sites very level. Some shade, very clean with nice tables and bbq table. Water was not working as they are upgrading it so fill before you come. Ely was cute. We’d have liked to spend more time there and visiting the train museum. We loved the nearby Charcoal Ovens. Plenty of stores snd gas nearby. Some easy hiking trails in park. Great Verizon. We were here end of June, not too hot.

First let me say it is my opinion this campground is made for tents, vans and maybe small iPod trailers. While the one lane dirt road up is in good condition, there are no pull outs if someone is coming down while you’re going up. Once you enter the campground the road narrows even further. The Juniper Trees and scrub are so close that you’re bound to scratch your rig. My husband has years of driving and maneuvered our rig perfectly but we still rubbed a bit with our 40’ 5er. While some sites would fit us the narrow road and trees prevented us from backing in. Only one site would have worked but it was taken. We only tried coming up here because I saw a pic of a 5er here and the ranger who has been here many years said he’s seen many large rigs here over the years. All this aside, the campground, park and tour were wonderful! We were told we could go to a dirt overflow lot if we wanted but it wasn’t very big and access was quirky. We took the rangers advice and boondocked in a small, flat rock quarry about a mile outside the park. Ranger Jeff even checked on us later to see if we found it and if we needed anything. Super nice guy. This review ONLY reflects OUR rig. This would be a great campground if your trailer is small. NO CELL.

I was told there are no longer electric sites as they have all been taken out. Generators are ok. Lake as of today is closed due to blue-green algae although campground is open.
Rating is only there as I can’t leave it blank. I just wanted to add an update for camping.

Agree with last post. Our price reflects our Sr. Pass. Easy in/out with our 40’ 5er. There was a large Class A pulling a car that never detached in site 4. The only negative was most sites are quite uneven. Currently there is no trash, Pack in/Pack Out. The water was on. Hwy noise was minimal as were the cows. Great Verizon. Very clean campground.

We stayed at spot #1. Couldn’t have been nicer and right on River. Two spots here spread out and a boat launch. As others have said we list Verizon LTE when we dropped down to the site. It was steep but our powerful dually 4x4 truck pulled our 40’ 5er up fine. We know our trucks abilities. I’d scout it out first if you’re not sure as there really is no where to turn around once you enter the staging area. We had hopes of some fishing but it was still too cold and windy. Better to come when it’s. Big warmer. Just gorgeous! Watch out for Moose which will be in the area as it warms a bit. Very quiet.
