Most recent stay was 6/14/16 - I'm "late" in posting my review ~ We camp in a Little Rig "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area.

We are return guests ~ several times; it’s one of the nicest rv parks on all of I-84 – but it’s not a campground believe they do not allow tents. Their restroom/shower/laundry facilities deserve a 5 star, very clean, very modern, and laid out in roomy 9x10 individual & private “home bathroom” style rooms each with a sink, toilet, shower stall, bench, shelf for your stuff, hooks for your clothes and towel, + a bonus towel bath mat for your feet as you exit the shower. Cooled by AC in summer months and heated during cooler months.

Rest of facilities also a 5 star paved interior roads, paved (level) site pads all pull through w/extension patio, picnic table, young shade trees, large lush grassy green-space between other sites, w/privacy fence between, full hookups w/cable and in-ground irrigation sprinklers, and of course a sparkling clean swimming pool All this for extremely reasonable price w/Good Sam Discount – believe me you’d pay much more for much less at other parks

Liked our site #210, (electric only) was in newer section of park right next to restroom albeit it had no shade trees unlike the older section that did. Modern restroom/shower building; very roomy with ample # of stalls with full tiled walls was clean and well kept. Each stall had bench in changing area and ample hooks for towels and clothes. Nice conveniences but it would have been better if there were rubber floor mats as you exit shower to keep feet off wet floor. Communal sink area had shelves for toiletries beneath each mirror but no hooks for hand towels and no paper towels for cleanup after use leaving sinks somewhat messy.

Overall grounds were well cared for; grassy areas surrounded sites that were large and flat with gravel and level and good distance way from neighboring sites. Minimal vegetation between sites for privacy but time will tell. This state park gets a high rating and will return when in the area.

Most recent stay was 7/17/16 thru 7/22/16 - I'm "late" in posting my review

The layout of the campground is such that the restroom/shower buildings are easily accessible from your campsite, but not immediately adjacent. One restroom/shower building serves about 15 campsites. They have 2 each 2 shower stalls, sinks, and toilets. Push button/auto shut off showers so- you gotta keep pushing to get more water. We’ve camped here 8 seasons now [family reunion getaway occupying 7 sites] and sad this this year they removed the paper towels [only air dryers] as we used them to clean up our area around the sinks when done. Now they stay messy longer as they’re cleaned only once per day. Each stall is private with locking door and large enough to use to dry off. There is 1 hook on the inside of door but now where else [wish there were more] also there is a long bench just outside of the shower stalls which is handy but no shelves for your stuff.

Reasonably priced park considering it’s near the tourist vacation destination area.. All campsites have gravel pads but the interior roadways are paved. Sites are very roomy with lots of vegetation between sites for privacy and all among many trees for welcomed shade during hot summer months. Some sites are dry camp others are electric only no sewer hookups, but there is a dump and potable water fill station near park entrance. Also water spigots are in every loop and is no problem getting water. Lot’s to do all around and Wi Dells is only minutes away – Google Wisconsin Dells and you’ll see it truly is a vacation destination – boasts to have more waterslide parks than anywhere else in the USA.

Most recent stay was July 2nd thru July 15th 2017 - I'm "late" in posting my review ~ We camp in a Little Rig "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area.

Yes we did get close to the restroom/shower building an older/dated facility showing its age, needing a little updating. Shower stall area had communal changing/drying off area with a long bench, plus hooks and cubby hole shelves for your stuff; all nice conveniences. Shower stalls were separated with a shower curtain, but a convenience item would be to add rubber floor mats to keep feet off wet floor during dry off time. Communal sink area was messy and also needed paper towels that could be used to wipe down area after each use, also needed hooks for hand towels and small shelves for toiletries

This is a government operated park and over all the grounds was well groomed. Interior roadways were asphalt and sites were grass mixed with gravel. However, they were in need of maintenance like new asphalt to fill pot holes in roadway and gravel to cover dirt in sites. It rained during our stay and site was muddy and the roadway potholes filled with water [see my photos] All this resulted in unpleasant stay – questioned camp staff and was told work orders were submitted long ago but have been waiting for public officials to authorize funding and assign job to contractor.

Most recent stay was 4-27-16 [I’m late in writing my review] 1st impression says WOW! All large wide concrete pads with non-moveable picnic table for (2) only 2 [very tiny] cable tv full hook ups – definitely a Big Boys RV Park. We camp in a "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long and we looked dwarfed next to the big boys. We are w/o toilet or shower and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area.

Got a spot 3 sites from restrooms all heated which were very nice with tiled walls and floors; appearing to newer – maybe last 5 years or so with 2 large stalls ~ sink vanity area is roomy giving entire facility a 5 star rating. Sure would have been nice and more convenient if it had shelves and hooks in shower and sink area for your stuff.

CONS: Picnic table too small and not movable – need grassy strip between sites so we could set up our dinning fly – didn’t see any tents set up – not a recreational park no activities

PROS: Excellent restrooms – large cement pads – sparkling pool - park with locking gate at night after 7:00 access with code – great for big rigs and perfect overnight stop for little RV’s like us

Most recent stay was 05-11-16 [I’m late with submitting my review] ~ We camp in a "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining fly for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area.

1st pick your site - go around the casino to the back parking lot and look for full hookups (in the parking lot next to 55 gal trash cans) . 2nd go inside to register and pay at front desk of hotel, 3rd pay $5.00 refundable fee for restroom key. Well we DID get fairly close to the restrooms so that was good, but that’s about it. No picnic table at your "site" but there is a big trash barrel. Don’t recommend hauling out the lawn chairs and of course no green-way between other RV’s which are sandwiched together.

The restrooms/showers are adjacent to the loading dock, they have private locked doors unisex style (2) only. Older setup – 50’s era no mirror at sinks, no hooks or selves for your stuff, but they’re roomy and water is hot with good pressure, and all in 1 single room like a being at home – so so on the cleanliness but they didn’t smell; wear your clogs.

Most recent stay was 07/07/16 thru 07/10/16 (I ‘m late in posting my review) . . . We camp in a Little Rig “Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area.

So the PROS of the restroom/shower/laundry building We DID get close ~ just across the roadway. They’re nice and clean and bright – somewhat updated w/tiled floors and private fiberglass shower stalls w’/ changing area. Communal sink area also nice; not crowded and they have paper towels for campers to clean up area after use . . . and they do!. And the CONS: The shower stalls w/changing area very small [can hardly move about to dry off except for ADA stall]. No rubber mats on floor that are soppy wet so you’re standing in dirty water trying to dry off No bench to sit but (1) folding chair to share with 3 stalls and if you use it, there’s no room to move – only 1 hook and no shelves same at communal sink very inconvenient

Overall the entire park itself is very accommodating w/large roomy sites [some shady] each with picnic table and fire ring. We were in the “open grass field area” [no shade however] that made a big circle around the amphitheater/stage building – it was nice. Roads are gravel as are the sites, fairly level. There are 2 pools, mini-golf, volley ball nets, playground, and community area within a few miles of the thru-way yet very peaceful and quiet setting.

Most recent stay was 05-1-2016 (I’m late on my reviews) We camp in a "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table & set up our dining canopy for sun/ weather protection so we rely on condition of campgrounds facilities being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area.

Locking gate for security, paved roadways, lots of shade trees, large level grassy sites with gravel for the rv and cement patio with picnic table – not crowded at all. The seclusion is nice away from noise of city and the interstate – older park 50’s era with some monthly full timers scattered about but still everything is neat and well kept.

Got a site close to restroom/showers which is in a cement block building; they were very clean although old and outdated from the fixtures/sinks, vanity, toilet, & shower stalls and reason for 3 star rating. A trip to local Home Depot would do wonders for the place. The shower area is large and includes private dressing area in each stall, including a rubber mat when you step out of the fiberglass shower, with hooks for towels and clothes, a shelf, and a corner bench – perfect set up. Wish they had hooks and shelves at community sink area a convenience necessity that many campgrounds seem to ignore. Older washers / dryers that work.

Most recent stay was June 5th 2017- I'm "late" in posting my review ~ We camp in a "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area

Was impressed with our site #48 right on the lakes edge; large flat graveled site with good picnic table and firepit + 30 amp elec and water hookup with an onsite dump station when you exit the park. Lots of greenspace between sites no crowding and quite private. The park map give impression the restroom/shower building is nearby; however it was quite a hike up a hill on a trail behind site 53. We used the car the next time and the 2nd restroom across from site 72 – also up the hill.

Restroom/shower was typical government style tiled floors and cement block painted walls; very clean with a bench and ample hooks in changing area adjacent to the shower stall + a soap dish in the shower stall. It would have been nice to have rubber floor mats as you exit shower to keep feet out of standing water when drying off and paper towels to clean up sink area which was messy after usage. Hot air dryers worked ok for your hands but that was about it. The restrooms are not well placed/located within the park, but overall the park was a good experience.

Most recent stay was 8/04/16 - I'm "late" in posting my review ~ We camp in a "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area

Overall this park has nice facilities; 3 loops with paved roads and sites which are very nicely spaced-out and mixed together with grass & juniper bushes. It has flush toilets and spacious showers in every loop. The showers have dated and annoying spray heads but decent water pressure w/hot water and a bench in changing area. All are kept clean. No dump station however, and no hooks or shelves in shower stalls or community sink area – air dryers only no paper towels for you to clean up the sinks after use.

Each site has a picnic table and fire ring with lots of room between them and all sit on top of relatively flat plateau above the reservoir. some sites have very little shade (the juniper bushes provide spots of low-lying shade for the sitting area), but limited shade for the RV & it can get very hot in summer. Many sites have full hookups (either 30 or 50 amp/water/sewer), plus prices are outstanding. Overnight Camping Fees: $10.00 tent area and dry dock camping (only $18 for FHU!). ($2.00 discount for Idaho State Parks and Recreation Golden Age pass holders) Most sites have no view of the water except for sites 10,12,14

This park is way out there near the Juniper Dam Recreation Area; very quiet, about 20 mi from Idaho Falls where you can shop for groceries and eat at restaurants.
