Confirmed by 6 users | Last reported on September 14, 2023Most recent stay was June 5th 2017- I'm "late" in posting my review ~ We camp in a "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area
Was impressed with our site #48 right on the lakes edge; large flat graveled site with good picnic table and firepit + 30 amp elec and water hookup with an onsite dump station when you exit the park. Lots of greenspace between sites no crowding and quite private. The park map give impression the restroom/shower building is nearby; however it was quite a hike up a hill on a trail behind site 53. We used the car the next time and the 2nd restroom across from site 72 – also up the hill.
Restroom/shower was typical government style tiled floors and cement block painted walls; very clean with a bench and ample hooks in changing area adjacent to the shower stall + a soap dish in the shower stall. It would have been nice to have rubber floor mats as you exit shower to keep feet out of standing water when drying off and paper towels to clean up sink area which was messy after usage. Hot air dryers worked ok for your hands but that was about it. The restrooms are not well placed/located within the park, but overall the park was a good experience.

I camped here to be close enough to tour Nashville and not have to long of a drive down to the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. This campground is on a lake with some campsites on the shoreline, albeit. I could not see the lake from my site. Do not use site #9 unless you and your vehicle are able to backup a steep hill into an angled narrow site. I had to use my 4wd and cuss words to negotiate it.

We have a 38’ 5th wheel. Site number 41, was a pull thru and big enough for any rig with 50/30 amp, water, new picnic table, fire ring and grill. No sewer at any sites at this location. The site was on the side of a hill with a grade coming in and leaving but pretty level on the site with a slight downward lean that was easily fixed with about 2” of lift.
The campground is a small one with a loop where sites on the lake side are down a little and many have “access” to the lake where you could put in a kayak/canoe. There is a boat ramp facility in the complex. The other side of the loop was on a upper side of the hill. Some of these which were not pull thru could be a challenge to back in for a big rig even though the site was large enough.
The single “Restroom” facility was old but clean. Not easy to get to (up a steep hill) and was designed for one person at a time with cold water only. The other 2 shower facilities were also clean and old with good hot water with 2-3 showers. Depending on your site you might have to drive to them.
Campground services include dump station and water filling station. Check in is strictly enforced. Do not arrive before 3 pm and if you are coming from the Eastern time zone this location is on central. Laundry services which are stated to be available were locked when we tried to use them and no hours are published so don’t know how they were. Staff was friendly but very small with limited availability.
Verizon service improved to 3 bars with a MIMO antenna and we had 20+ up and down on internet speed test.

We planned to camp here for a couple of nights in mid March. The website wasn’t clear about availability, so we stopped by. Unfortunately, it’s closed for the winter season and doesn’t reopen until May 1.
Camped at Nashville I-24 Campground instead ($34/night though :-/). https://nashvillei24kampground.com/

We stayed here for a night on our cross country tour. Really pretty lake and beautifully maintained property. Water and electric hooks, campsites very spread apart. Will be back.

We stayed at site #46 for 2 nights. The water hookup drains down in the site so I would not stay at that site again. Nice, quiet lake view. Take bug spray as there are many flies, horseflies, and mosquitoes. There are 3 bathrooms/showerhouses which had clean flush toilets and hot showers. We saw a doe at the showerhouse. We had excellent AT&T service (5 bars). The hosts are very friendly and accommodating.

We camped there to visit Nashville. It’s just enough ride from the park to make ya feel your away from a big city. Sites are all pull through an big and well maintained. View is beautiful. Bathhouse is a bit far from the RV sites, but not really a big issue for us. Highly recommend this place.

I agree with the review of kmaroney. I only write to add that there are some companion sites here and this is one of them. Super convenient with each camper having w/s/e on a long drive through site. Great spacing from others. Surprising distance to rest room for some campers, but not from this site. By observation 30 was an awesome site. Used campground to visit Nashville conveniently.

Great site. , large site across the street from the lake. Woods behind us, enjoyed watching the lightning bugs at dusk. I work remotely full time so internet from Cellular data is important to me . My T mobile hotspot speeds were 44.3 down and 21.4 upload. My Verizon was 17 down and 10 up and my ATT was 13.6 down and 15.8 up. Quiet woodsy feel with a nice steady breeze blowing in off the lake. Not too far from groceries or civilization.
50 AMP with water hook up paved site with fire ring and charcoal grill and picnic table. No sewer hookup but there is a dump station on site. Would be amazing if they added sewer hook ups.
Loved the concrete pad to cut down on mud and dirt and it gave our puppy a nice clean spot to hang out when out side. Enjoyed the shade from all of the trees.

We stayed in Site 30 for a couple of days in July 2021. This was the first time here for us but it will not be the last. The sites have quite a bit of separation between them and all of them have considerable shade. Our site was on the lake edge and had easy access for the kayak. We didn't use the showers but they appeared to be very clean and in good shape. While kayaking, I noticed quite a bit of trash (bottles and cans) washed up around shore (probably debris from the boaters that frequent the area).
