Creek fire RV Ranch - Savannah, GA
$46.13 with taxes

Large new park that is expanding. Nicely spaced with Young shrubs between sites. Pull thru and back-in, some concrete and some gravel level sites. Sites are long and connections are convenient. Back-in sites are along the outside with swamp/ heavy forest behind them. Bugs were bad in late May in our back-in site. There is a large lake where you can fish and kayak or just watch the alligators. DO NOT FEED THEM!!!!!
Nice pool and kids pool, hot tub, covered pavilion with tables, TV, pool, darts, foose-ball and corn hole. There is also Boncee ball, tennis court and basketball hoop. They rent golf carts and kayaks. Showers are individual bathrooms which were nice, but not too plentiful and a walk away from the 2 Tent sites at the edge of the lake. Laundry room has 6 sets of machines in a small room and some of the front-loading washers smelled bad and had stuff on/under the seal. I was in there alone, but more than 2 people and it would have been very crowded. Hopefully as they expand they will plan more showers and another laundry. We were in the very back of the park (105) and WiFi was VERY MARGINAL, even with repeater 1 site away. I heard it was good enough for streaming closer to office, but I didn’t try it anywhere but our site. There is a restaurant onsite, and friends who stayed here before us said it was really good, but the night we went it was HORRIBLE!! My Cuban sandwich had no mustard or pickle, pulled pork nachos were cold in the middle, chicken Caesar salad had no anchovies, no croutons, and they asked what kind of dressing she wanted. Blue cheese burger was so salty it was inedible. AND it took 1.5 hours to get this awful food! We complained, but we’re not offered any discount or incentive to try it again - just excuses. Historic Savannah is an easy drive away, and if we come back to the area, we would stay here again.

Site 134 - $73.33/ night Elect./ water/ cable only - no sewer
The fact that there was no sewer was not clear upon booking - map doesn’t differentiate sewer/non-sewer sites. They play up that they were the first KOA and the homes in the front of the campground indicate that they have done very well for themselves.
Very Tight sites, expensive for what you get in that section (90-139) Sites 1-60 looked nicer and had sewer. Nice pool and hot tub. Too expensive - won’t stay there again!

Twin Lakes Camp Resort
580 Holley King Rd., DeFuniak Springs, FL

Rates varies per site - ours was $63. Plus tax, without Good Sam Discount
Very nice campground. Our waterfront site (H 11) was pull-in or back in, with utilities on both sides. The pull in option gave more patio area and space between neighbor, but living area faced the west. There were also waterfront back-in sites and pull-through sites in the center. Stamped concrete pad with gravel for interior roads and between sites. The pool looked nice, the grounds were clean and neat, and there were grassy areas for kids to play in. Also an activity center and central fire pit. Electric pondtoons and kayaks for rent. There is a camp store and boutique with local preserves, souvenirs, RV and fishing supplies. Two downfalls were no picnic tables and high sewer connection.

DeFuniak Springs has a lot of history and the circle drive shows some beautifully restored old homes and a nice park around the lake.

Holiday Campground
3/19-22/ 2023
14 Coastal Highway, Panacea, FL 32346
Site #2 - $62.00/ night plus tax for $68.82.
VERY narrow and short site. Just enough room for our 36’ class A. Car barely fit across the back without impinging on neighbors. Pull In gravel site has a nice view of the waterway and was level with a small paver patio. Picnic bench was in front of the site. Fire ring on the grass in front of site. You had to buy firewood from campground and it didn’t burn well at all!
Utilities were OK, but WiFi was unusable. We didn’t use cable. There is a nice bike/walking path to the town, about 3 miles away, but it is a very small town. My-Way seafood had nice shrimp, and further into town was Mineral Springs Seafood that had a case of fish, shrimp, and dips. There is also a Dollar General store in town.
The campground is right next to the highway and bridge. There was some traffic noise, but running the fan at night helped. Angelo’s restaurant across the street has good reviews, but is closed Monday and Tuesday when we were there. The pool looked nice, but we didn’t use it or the other facilities.
The area doesn’t have too much to offer. Campgrounds in Carrabelle looked nicer, about 30 minutes away.

Twin Oaks RV Park, Elko (Perry) GA
A nice, clean and well maintained park. New owners seem to be making improvements including 2 new bath houses with instant hot water - never run out. Seasonal pool, large hot tub, community room, living room with big screen satellite TV, comfy sofas, Large selection of books and games, and two dining-type tables to play on. Laundry was clean and is open 24/7 ($2.00 per load). There is also a clubhouse with full kitchen and grill. There are 2 horseshoe pits and corn hole set. There are 64 FHU sites, most with 50amp. 35 are pull-thru, the back-ins are more shady and have woods behind them. The sites are large enough, and have picnic tables (some with shade umbrellas), on concrete or paver patio pads. There are grass strips in front and behind the patios. Sites either have a fire ring, or they will provide one. Our site was level and long enough for our rig and toad. The sites and interior roads are gravel/dirt and in good condition. They do not have cable, but got OTA stations from Macon. They have WiFi, and quite a few connections, but the WiFi was pretty much useless - so slow! The other negative is that since it is so close to I-75, there is a lot of traffic noise. We still slept well with windows closed and fan on in RV. We will definitely stay there again!

43.00/ night, (with GS discount and tax $42.86)
Very nice RV park. Gravel, level sites, grass between sites and trees throughout the park. There are 2 creeks adjacent and one time we were there in the spring those were over their banks and park was WET. This time all was good. Limited Cable TV, WiFi, The only annoying rule is that dogs are to only use the dog walk, and not pee on the grass at the sites.

Azalea Acres
27450 Glass Rd. Robertsdale, AL 36567 251-947-9530
3-31-23/4-6-23
$48./night
There are MANY RV parks in the area- some nicer than others. This one was a “no frills” park, but it was spacious (43’x92’), had good utilities and was relatively quiet. It is close to the interstate, but there wasn’t too much traffic noise, and there is a gun range on the other side of I-10 where they fired on Saturday, but that was it. No noise IN the park, and everyone pretty much kept to themselves. We didn’t use the bath house, laundry or pavilion, there is no pool or playground. These are hiking trails behind the park, but we didn’t use them. Our site and the ones in the first 2 rows have a concrete pad and patio (double width) with wooden picnic table and benches. Gravel in front and behind the pad, and fine gravel for the roads. The sites further back looked like all-grass, or at least grass patio area. Grass between the wide lots, good water pressure, no problems with power. You are met and led to your site by a man in a golf cart. He gives you a rundown of the campground and you check-in and pay after you are set up. The campground is positioned about mid-way in the large county. It’s about 30-35 minutes to Foley, the largest town. Robertsdale itself is about 20 minutes away, where there is a Walmart and various stores/services. It is a rural area. We were there to do genealogy, and needed easy access to both BayMinette and Foley, and Azalea Acres gave that to us.

Used for an overnight stay. Sandy/ grass sites that are fairly level, but rather narrow. 30/50 amp, water, sewer, WiFi and cable. There is an exercise room, but you need a code to enter and that wasn’t offered to us. There was NO information given except an escort to the assigned site which was a pull thru near the road. The back in sites near us were all permanent residents.

The WiFi was fairly strong for a campground, and there were quite a few cable stations, but with no guide it was difficult to figure out stations. The bath was clean, but hot with no ventilation. It’s bad to sit on the toilet and sweat! A/C in Florida restrooms should be mandatory. There is a Wendys, and little caesars and a liquor store within walking distance as well as a gas station with a sandwich shop. It was fine for an overnight, but we didn’t feel welcomed without getting info that is usually provided.
