My name is Amy and I decided that all work and no play was not the way I wanted to raise my family! We are a rather adventurous family of 6, despite the fact that our children are still pretty small- ages 2, 5, 7, and 9. But we never let this stop us before, so why now?! With so much tragedy in the world, and seeing how each day is really such a gift, we decided to just go for it and plan the most epic road trip EVER! With the help of Roadtrippers, I embarked on a 6-month planning journey to find the absolute coolest places in America. I wanted to show my children the world! With tons of late-night planning, sacrificing family time to work overtime and save, and a whole lot of ambition, we set aside 3 weeks to go over 7,000 miles in our trusty Suburban. It ended up changing our lives!

This was one of our first stops, and it was a very cool, kitschy place where my kids got to feed goats, pan for gemstones, and ride a crazy outdoor roller coaster through the Great Smokey Mountains!
