“Exciting and Educational Museum!”
The Rattlesnake Museum is an exciting and educational experience for the entire family. This animal conservation museum reveals the hundreds of ways that rattlesnakes and other "less desirable" animals have influenced our lives. Examples are given through artifacts, memorabilia, and the largest collection of different species of live rattlesnakes in the world. In fact, the Rattlesnake Museum hosts more different species than the Bronx Zoo, the Philadelphia Zoo, the National Zoo, the Denver Zoo, the San Francisco Zoo, and the San Diego Zoo, all combined! Species from North, Central, and South America are presented in beautifully recreated habitats. Myths are explored, phobias cured, and mysteries revealed at this must-see Museum of the Southwest. It's a wonderful way for your family to share in this fascinating, mysterious, and misunderstood corner of the animal kingdom.
Incredible private collection of snakes and other reptiles/amphibians. The owner is very personable, the exhibits are detailed, very educational, while the space is crowded, everything is super clean. I disagree about it being disorganized. I think it's VERY organized, with a clear attempt to educate, educate, educate! Well done!
Very cool place. A bit cramped and disorganized. Well worth the stop.
Really cool place! We got out and did some shopping in the little town also! Kids had fun!
This place was really fun! Just enough for us to get out and stretch our legs before heading back out. My boys loved all of the snakes and other critters.
A fun museum with great attention to detail for kids. There are signs on a lower level that kids can read, steps to see into vivariums that they can't reach and free snake stamps and a certificate for them on the way out. Loads of snakes to look at and the curator was very friendly.
It’s a giant tourist trap, I went to the riverside wildlife center near the Meramac Caverns and it was so much cleaner and nicer than this. I am not trying to bash on this business but it felt like a waste of money.
Little pricey for the experience, but I understand the need for the care of the snakes. Great information about snakes and history of different cultures. Staff was very personable.
Best Museum Ever! Even got a sweet hat!
very small and quaint, you can mosey through and see it all in less than an hour. It's small admission fee is fitting for what you get. Tons of snakes, and rare reptiles, too. Video viewing area for another educational medium. Clean and obviously well-run. Nice gift shop with rare finds. Would recommend for the snake lover.
A cute little museum for the snake and reptile lover like my brother and I. Their was barely any cost, and even then, my parents were able to get a student discount without bringing their idea. The sweetest place, though very small.
