Santa Clarita, CA
Day 1: Early Morning Departure from LA 8:00am? Lunch in or near Vegas. Groceries done the day before. Today is mostly a straight highway driving day.
Day 1: Arrive in early evening (~5pm). Set up camp and enjoy a wander through the slot canyons.
Day 2: Wake your way to SLC to meet up with Neil and Traci, grab some late lunch in the city before heading into the nearby mountains to explore the National forest and spend an evening at elevation. Possible cave and Hiking excursions if additional time is spent here. This area is new to me.
Day 3: Leisurely morning at camp enjoying the forest and a camp breakfast before heading on to the Kemmerer Fossil quarries and Fossil Butte national Monument. After an afternoon of splitting rock continue up to the Teton NF and look for campsite.
Day 12: Camp in and Explore Sinks Canyon? Or move on to Red Canyon?
Day 13: Explore the quarry and river areas of Dinosaur. Camp in NP?
