Leon Valley, TX US
Simple, clean, perfect for passing through town. There is also a Red Robin in walking distance.
One of the neatest pieces of public art around. You can even add your own mark to this! There is a truck you can purchase spray paint from or you can bring your own. Be aware though, it is very windy and dusty out there.
This is my second visit here. It was on the way into CO from NM. It was a nice little place to have lunch and enjoy scenery. There is a trail that goes all the way around the volcano and one that goes down into the crater.
This is the highest elevation KOA in the country. It is also not great for us lowlanders to drive in from Amarillo the same day. Altitude sickness is real and miserable. The campground is nice though, the owners were really sympathetic to our plight.
