Created by Gary Mitchell - September 21st 2020

This Michigan trip did with some fellow RVers and had a great time. We started the end of June and completed the middle of July. We are an active RV group that likes to bike, hike and just get outdoors. We started in Elkhart doing some RV Factory tours and and some shopping, very big Amish country as well. next we start up the cost of Lake Michigan.

This is a very nice clean campground only a couple miles away from the lighthouse the park and some other attractions. We also took our bikes out and rode a bike trail in the area that was a fabulous well paved trail.

This is the location was about 5 minutes from the campground. Tours of the dunes are available daily and well worth it.

This was a great location for visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes, driving up north to see Glen Haven and Glen Arbor, visiting some local wineries and also a short drive to Traverse City. The drive to Old Mission Peninsula was fantastic.

Great campground that we found and across the street is the little Traverse Wheel-way bike trail. One Direction takes you to Charlevoix the other takes you to downtown Petoskey.

Petoskey was a great little town that we spent several days at riding bikes and some really neat shopping in town it was also a good point to see nearby locations like Charlevoix and the Tunnel of trees.

This was a day trip over to Canada to ride the train and see a very scenic Railway. It was an all day adventure but lots of fun. Before the train start back you're allowed time to go hiking, see some waterfalls and climb a bunch of stairs for beautiful scenic view.

Mackinac Island

The Island was one of the best stops on the trip. Taking the ferry over to the island with our bicycles was very enjoyable and to be able to ride around the island and see most everything was awesome.
