Dayton stop - optional. Military aviation museum. Free. Open 9-5 daily. Approx. 1 hours north of Cincinnati, 3.5 hours from home.

Cincinnati-Approx. arrival: 11:30. Projected temp. 50 deg., partly cloudy. This is a pedestrian bridge. It's a 10 minute walk across the bridge. The drivers will drop us off and meet us on other side. They will take the Taylor Southgate bridge to Newport and park in the Levee parking garage. More info: The Newport Southbank Bridge, popularly known as the Purple People Bridge, stretches 2,670 feet over the Ohio River, connecting Newport, Kentucky to downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.The bridge first opened on April 1, 1872, under the name Newport and Cincinnati Bridge, and was Cincinnati's first railroad bridge spanning the Ohio River. Over the course of the next 35 years, the bridge would be retrofitted to accommodate streetcar, pedestrian and automobile traffic. TripAdvisor: "If you ever find yourself at Newport on the Levee, be sure to take a trek across the "Purple People Bridge." It is a pedestrian only bridge with ample walking room and seating, as well as amazing views of the Ohio River and the Cincinnati Skyline."

Admission: adult (13+) $24, child (2-12) $16. We can eat before or after aquarium, at Newport on the Levee shopping area. Stay approx. 2 hours, then drive to B+B (2h,45min)

Next morning: Breakfast is at 8:00-9:00, followed by a farm tour: 9:00-10:00. Bring boots as farm is muddy!!! 10:30 departure to mammoth caves national park (40 min drive).

Projected weather: 53 deg, sunny!! Arrive by 11:00, tour starts at 11:30- Domes and Dripstones. Due to technical difficulties, we only have 9 tickets for this tour. We will need to get there and check if we can buy more for the same tour or for other tours. They do sell tickets on site. This is a 2 hour tour of moderate difficulty. The temperature in the caves is 52 degrees so wear warm clothing. After tour we will grab lunch and decide on next activity from the two options mentioned below.

This combines the adventure zoo with animals native to Australia, with Mammoth Onyx cave. This is one of the most beautiful and easily accessible caves in the U.S. Mammoth Onyx Cave was discovered in 1799, and opened to public tours in 1922. Visitors will marvel at the beautiful onyx formations found in the underground chambers of Mammoth Onyx Cave. The leisurely cave tour features stalactites, stalagmites, and other formations created by water and time to naturally design an incredibly beautiful underworld scene.

Tours of Mammoth Onyx Cave are scheduled throughout the day and no prior reservations are required. Although the cave contains some steps, a small group size and leisurely pace accommodates most people. Guides welcome questions and conversation during a 30-minute tour in a comfortable and constant 60°F setting. This is an active cave: when it rains, the water drips down through the ground and into the cave continually creating new formations! There are many different formations to behold in the cave, such as stalagmites and stalactites, cave popcorn, and cave cauliflower. Unsure what cave popcorn or cave cauliflower are? Your interpreter will be happy to explain.
