“One of Cincinnati's most cherished institutions”
Ohio's oldest continuously operated public market and one of Cincinnati's most cherished institutions. The Market is located just blocks from downtown in Over-the-Rhine, a dense historic neighborhood rich in 19th century architecture. Open Tuesday through Sunday, Findlay Market is home year-around to about two dozen indoor merchants selling meat, fish, poultry, produce, flowers, cheese, deli, and ethnic foods. On Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from April to November the Market also hosts a thriving farmers market, dozens of outdoor vendors, numerous street performers, and lots of special events. Findlay Market is a gathering place for people from all over the city. It routinely attracts perhaps the most socially, economically, racially, and ethnically diverse crowds found anywhere in Cincinnati. They come for the sights and sounds and smells of an old-fashioned public market, for the great variety of fabulous fresh foods, for bargains, for people watching, and for a quintessentially urban shopping experience. The Farmers Market is held every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, from April through November.
I love bringing people from out of town here on the weekends. There is a little wine bar that does tastings on the weekend. Inside the market there's a little Mexican stand and their fish tacos are amazing. Get them traditional with red onion, lime, slaw, and crema (I add habanera salsa to mine, but only do this if you like spicy things).
One of the best places in OTR to get lunch. It has something that everybody can enough, and you can pick up a few groceries while your there! On the weekends they have vendors that sell fresh fruits and veggies, clothes, and art work. It a good place to spend a saturday morning.
One of the great gems of Cincinnati. Even during the down times in OTR Findlay Market never lost its awesomeness. Now with the resurgence of the neighborhood, the market is once again bringing in people of all ages from all corners of the region. This, along with other landmarks like Music Hall/Washington Park, is the heart and soul of OTR.
Damn good eating and shopping. Great spot to get fresh and high quality meats and veggies. They have tons of hot food as well if you're feeling hungry as you walk through (which you will) I highly suggest checking out the Gyro stand because it's one of my favorite places to get Gyro's in the city.
A lot of options, and some great ones at that, this is a great place to pick up ingredients or a meal. Even if you aren't going for anything in particular, it's fun to walk around and see all of the different options.
Bouchard's Anything Pastable inside the market is the greatest $7 you will EVER spend. seriously, as many toppings in freshly made pasta for less than the cost of a McDonald's value meal. you can't beat this.
So rad! There is something for everyone here!
Findlay Market is one of the best places in the city to grab some grub, whether you want other people to whip it up for you, or you want to cook it yourself.
Be sure to check out the little Thai food place inside, it's been my go-to Findlay pick for the last year. For five bucks you get heaps of food, and the egg rolls, made fresh, are out of the world.
I love public markets like Findlay where you can get a variety of stuff from different vendors. It's a great place to shop for groceries, or to grab a bite to eat for lunch. There are some tables inside to eat at but go out to the back where there's usually much more room to sit and enjoy your food.
One of the greatest places to visit in Cincinnati regardless of who you are. Findlay has everything from fresh produce to the world's greatest crepes (which can be found at Taste of Belgium's stand). Findlay is the coolest outdoor market I've ever been to, and a great place for lunch or to enjoy a weekend morning at.
