I picked this place because it sounded calmer than what some of the other campgrounds in the area can be. I was warned that Silver Lake could get a little rowdy at times. I have 2 boys 15 and 12, so I wanted a safe place that they could play. There is not a bad site in this entire park. We had so much room, and a large cement patio. The pool is so kid friendly, with a slide, basketball hoop, walk in area with a waterfall mushroom and dump bucket, and a small lazy river. There is horseback riding, archery, large playground, laser tag on a connected island, I could go on and on. It is a Christian park, and we are not, so we didn't know how that would go. It went perfectly fine. The other campers were very friendly and we even got invited to sit around another campfire and asked to tell them about our day's adventures. There is a large parking lot to keep your toy trailer in if you need that space. Give this place a shot, you will not be disappointed.

I have to question this location on the basis that it’s in 2 different states according to the information. It says it’s both located in Windham, NH and Great Barrington, MA.

The 2 photos are also strange as they show 2 different types of masonry.

Marker is dropped on the location of the Gaebler building. The larger adult center was a little NW and now houses condos. You can access the grounds via walking trails. There are signs posted on the trails and are open to the public.

Bring electric and water extensions. Nice place on pretty grounds. I love that they are very dog friendly and my kids have lots of other kids to play with. We were located in the quiet Juniper Circle with a good amount of seasonal campers. They are very friendly and gave us an invite to join them around their campfire. Our hookups were a little far from the ideal location and we missed our water hose by about 5'. They did not have any left in the store and the girl asked if anyone told me about it when booking. When I told her I didn't she never questioned and said they had an extra one we could borrow. We are in an RV so I can't vouch for the bath house but we would definitely come back.

I was beyond impressed with how this building was constructed and why. The history is amazing and Joy was an awesome guide. It's very interactive as well, not just a cookie cutter speech regurgitated from some kid. These people are all volunteers and there for the love of local history.
