I was able to score 6 nights here and wow! What a hidden jewel. The area has RV park, bungalows and hotel rooms right on the bay.
When I got there someone was in my site and I had to go back to the office. There's nowhere to park (there's one pullover spot for check in) so I had to stop in the road and block the exit to go into the office. While they straightened out the problem I drove around the block. Seems they told the guy his correct site number but the paperwork they gave him had mine on it. The RV park is TIGHT! Backing into my site was a challenge but doable. The location is amazing, so close to everything. Even with all the kids around it was still pretty quiet and very enjoyable (except for the guy smoking a cigar in the site next to mine).The bathhouse was clean and had good water pressure. I didn't use the laundry. There is a pool and splash pad over looking the bay as well as a marina with pontoon rentals.
I will definitely stay here again!

I arrived about 2pm and asked the manager if I could stay the night. He said yes and if I wanted to I could pull the rig around the front of the store later on where it would be more visible. The area didn't look bad so I decided to stay in the RV area. While walking my dog I did see a hypodermic needle next to the fence which concerned me. I parked on the end so I could put my slide out (with permission) over the grassy area. I was debating moving to the front but it's right along I-10 and very noisy. Another trailer and camper van pulled in around sunset so I stayed where I was. After the traffic died down it was reasonably quiet and I slept well. The site was perfectly level and other than trash around the fence line it was clean. I would stay here again. I was in a 31 ft travel trailer.

It’s has what you need for an overnight stay. I used my Passport America so it was $20. Mostly long term rentals. Had a pull-thru site with full hookups. There’s a grassy area at the back for dogs but be careful where you step, there’s dog crap everywhere. Convenient to I-20

I never knew this military RV park was here until a friend I was visiting told me about it. There are only 10 sites and they're all reasonably level concrete pads. There is noise from the aircraft flying at the base but hey, that's the sound of freedom!
The park is located just outside the gate so I was told to set up in my site, then come on base to check in. The office was very easy to find and check in was easy.
The base has a great dog park called Wiggley Field that's in a old baseball diamond and is only a couple of miles from the park. My dog loved it.
They do have breed restrictions and lots of rules (no portable fencing, no fire pits, etc.) so I don't think I would want to stay here long term but for a few days it was great.
Also, just FYI no fire arms are allowed in the park or on base.

Used my Passport America so it was only $16. The park was pretty empty so I was able to get a pull-thru site on the end with lots of grass for my dog. I didn’t use the casino and the clubhouse was closed due to Covid. The park was very clean and I saw security patrolling the area frequently. Some of the back in sites along the south edge have wooden bench swings which would be really nice in the warmer months.

I stayed one night here on my way to Florida. It was $15 with my Passport America. The park is old and tired with many run down longterm residents. It was quiet and met my needs. I only used the electric which worked great. Host was very nice and moved me to a 50 amp pull thru at no extra charge because the 30 amp site wasn't long enough for my rig. Didn't have to unhook and easy in and out.
I felt safe and would stay here again on my way through

I was visiting friends in Valdosta and used my Passport America to stay here. The Cain family no longer owns the park and check in was a little confusing. The lady couldn't find my reservation but remembered my name (she'd called me a couple of days before asking for my email). I stayed on the smaller side of the park behind the office with just about 10-12 sites. The site was a pull-thru and had a small fence that separated the sites for privacy.
The park says it's pet friendly but not really. I asked if I could put up my portable fence for my cats and was told yes, for cats that's fine. Dogs, however, have to be on a handheld leash at all times, even inside the fencing. I felt like they really didn't want dogs there. They must've had something bad happen.
The park was quiet and clean and only 10 miles from my friend's house so I would definitely stay here again. I didn't use the bathroom (not sure if it was toilet only or if it had shower). The dumpsters were conveniently located for disposing of trash on the way out.

For seniors the 30 amp sites are $10, 50 amp is $11. Can’t beat the price or location. The attitude of the workers is another thing. I made reservations for a premium 50 amp site but because I only had one a/c they put me in a 30 amp site that was too small. The girl changed it (she was very nice) to site 77 which was 50 amp and on the end near the lake and bath house. Perfect site! Unfortunately the 50 amp power was missing a leg according my surge protector. So I plugged into 30 instead. It was fine at first then a couple hours later there was a surge and it tripped my surge protector. It kept doing that every hour or so. Ended up using a propane heater overnight so I wouldn’t have to move in the dark. Next day I talked to a different worker, Casey. She said I had to go into a smaller 30 amp slot. I explained that my rig was 50 amp and I paid for a premium spot. Nope the ranger insisted that because I only had one a/c that I had to go into a 30 amp. When I asked about a refund for the $7 she actually said “we can refund you but it’s very inconvenient “. I was floored! No, what was inconvenient was that I had to pack up my site and move less than 24 hours later because they can’t keep their equipment working! My new site (55) smells like an open sewer and because I’m a newbie I had trouble backing in and had to get help. You know what good old Casey said? Well you chose this lifestyle so you should know how. I’m not kidding. Bad freaking attitude. Oh and the kicker was, she admitted earlier that she couldn’t back up her rig either. Her husband has to do everything. I would still stay here again because the location is near family but just be warned about the lack of care and customer service
