Confirmed by 9 users | Last reported on May 23, 2023We stayed at Lewisville Lake park because we wanted to leave our trailer for about a week and fly out of DFW. We stayed in the trailer for several days on either end of our stay. The park is a nice mix of large and small sites with the premium sites being more appropriate for larger rigs. There are many potholes in the park and several low branches. Amenities include a laundry room and restrooms which were clean but not exceptional. There are no full hookup sites but the premium sites do have 50 amp service and it was rock solid for our whole stay.
Some sites have a view of Lake Lewisville and the boat ramp and swimming area are close. Overall fine for what we needed.

Generally Texas-friendly hosts and fellow RVers. Clean rest room and showers. Laundry was closed. Road repair work is scheduled for Spring 2017. Good WiFi (but seems to have a time limit of 45 minutes). Nice golf driving range and course nearby. Will definitely stay again.

This place was very reasonable for being close to dallas Fort Worth area, $16 per night for water and electric hookups, $18 for 'premium' sites which were pretty much pull thrus. We had to ask for it when we got there because the site they wanted to put us in was a little tight. The grounds were clean and you could see the lake from the campground. Nice employees. The place is city owned so the gates close from 11 pm till 6 the next morning.

The campground was recently upgraded - new paved road, better dump station area, ADA sites and more reliable free WIFI - and still the best value campground in town. Two thumbs up!

Right off I-35, next to Lewisville Lake. Clean park. Great concrete walking trail around lake. Only negative was sites are very close together. Luckily park was quite. Electric and water at site, but no sewer. Two very nice dump stations though.

After 11 hours on the road we arrived to find out that tent camping is no longer allowed. We camp out of our customized SUV with a sleeping platform, real mattress, etc. But since it’s not classified as a RV it’s not allowed. The lady was super nice and gave us a other nearby campground options. Since it was almost 10pm we decided to splurge for a hotel. The campground looked great as described. Just sadly not an option for us.

We arrived around 6pm 12/27/18 with them asking if we had a reservation, we did not. It’s winter, 30 degrees and a brisk wind, who besides me would be camping? Apparently several people! Originally the lady manning the station didn’t think she had room but luckily the ranger was there and said they could find a spot. He took all of my license info from both vehicles plus measurements and the lady took all of the other needed info short of blood type. $8 for senior discount (one of few perks for being old). Great location, fabulous view of the lake. My one complaint and it’s minor. My electric post was shared with my next door neighbor and it was on the front door side directly behind his so my standard length cord didn’t come close to reaching. An adapter and an extension fixed it but now I’m plugged into 20 amp. Like I said minor complaint.

Our vehicle registration stickers are in our mailbox in Georgia, and our reservation was not honored even though we had printed evidence that we were legal. Janice, the check in host city employee, even admitted that the Lewisville city police could verify our tags but refused to make the effort to contact the police to do so. We were turned away at the gate. With ultra-poor city employees like Janice on the job, this park is a high risk reservation. I suggest that you look elsewhere. Hidden Cove was nice with great customer service oriented employees.
