Great campground with lots to do for kids. Great back in RV spot by the cabins, pull thru and other sites by the pool were a gravel parking lot. Saltwater pool, which I will take over chlorine any day and great fishing pond. Dinner and breakfast on weekends, call for food delivery any time. Nice people! Only one washer in creepy looking wash room was a negative; we did not visit the bathrooms which were in the same building. Will definitely visit here again! A cooler spot since a higher elevation.

Glorified parking lot. Has dog run but nothing else. If u have kids there is nothing for them here.

No catfish ponds, dam broke and they drained, another camper said. Also no wifi. We stayed one night and moved on. It is a quiet setting, too bad the advertised attractions were not actually as described..

strange place. reasonably easy to find and just off HW. No conveniences; we parked in the only? pull thru, which was a gravel, somewhat muddy space right at the front of camp ground. LOTS of full timers. Seemed safe enough but there was NOTHING to do.

Quite REMOTE location. Twenty miles from a grocery store so must stock up before your arrival. There was a wifi network but no signal/internet access from ANYWHERE in the park. Four washers and dryers, so unless a person magically picked a good time you must wait for a machine, no change machine and office was closed so get none from there.... I am particularly sensitive to negatives related to the bath areas::soap scum on shower door handles, racks meant to hold personal soaps and toiletries also had scum from others' items, and hair at the drain, outdoor floor mats that were used for bath mat also collected hair -- Gross! Office hours and 'public rooms' open only from 9 - 6; hot tub 'turned on' at 5 PM had leaves and sand at that bottom. Grounds well maintained.

Very well kept facilities -- game room, pool, and common areas, including laundry and showers. Convenient shuttle to the hospitals downtown with accommodating, friendly bus driver who will go out of his way to meet your needs. The shuttle also stops at a grocery, which makes it easy to get necessary things if you're intimidated by Houston traffic. If you need long term access to Houston hospitals for a health care need, like my family did, this facility is definitely for you. Just cannot say enough good things! Only drawback is the loud highway noise but if your RV fan is as noisy as ours the 'white noise' from the fan takes care of any bother.

Beautiful area and nice information building - with live turtles, which my son loved - but alas no Verizon coverage at the campsites. Did not work out because we work from the road and must have cell phone/hotspot availability.. :-(
