Worth the time to stop. Lots of history and information. The most fascinating sight is the Spruce Goose. You just can't imagine how big it is until you actually see it.

My family loved this zoo. We spent about 4.5 hours here wandering around to see all the animals and exhibits. Lunch was a little spendy but there were plenty of options to satisfy all five of us.

Beautiful views of the area from the top. Also worth the hike to Hickory Nut Falls. Be sure to take plenty of water with you.

We spent a wonderful few hours touring this magnificent estate. I consider this a must do when visiting Asheville. Be sure to get the audio tour when you purchase your tickets as it is a headphone set that describes each room as you walk through the house.
