This is a wonderful lake with easy access to the lake front. The site itself was a bit sandy which made for challenges in leveling. You need to be careful that you don't get into soft sand as it might create a problem when your getting ready to leave. Site 1541 had no electric or water and no access to water, so bring your own. The campsites are nestled within a grove of cottonwood trees, so there was a lot of cotton blowing around, which makes it challenging eating outside. One more thing, while it's pretty much mosquito free, we were there during the Miller moth migration. So if you plan on camping in mid June to mid July expect to deal with the moths. Our site was about 100 yards from the lake front, but was an easy access. The lake is beautiful and the water is crystal clear.

We had 4 bars of 4G T-Mobile and was able to run an Amazon Fire Stick with no buffering.

One more thing, as of June 2020 there is a open fire ban, so no wood camp fires are permitted.

Overall, it's a good camp site for a couple of days.

Beautiful RV Resort. Clean and sterile, but not for us. the sites are very close to one another. So close that I thought my neighbor's awning was going to hit our RV. That's a little bit too close for us. Very little space on the side of the RV to relax. This is NOT a beach-side RV resort. You have to drive across the highway to get to the beach. I gave it a 4-star rating based on how clean this place was and the amenities that it has.

A nice woodsy RV park. It's not near much of anything but it was a good stop for the one or two-night stay. Debbie the host was very nice and helpful, even trying to figure out our cable TV set up. If your traveling on or near US60 and need a place to stay, you won't be disappointed in Camelot RV Campground,

Lovely woodsy RV park. You get the feel that you in a forest. Sites are level & large and hard packed. It's in the Lake Rend area and easily accessible from the highway. We enjoyed it so much we're going to stop there again on our return trip.

Beautiful RV Park with impeccable grounds. Sites are long and wide separated by beautiful manicured hedges. One of the best RV parks we've been to.

Got the stay here using a Passport America discount. It was barely worth the discount. The park looked rundown and old. The site was recently graveled with some kind of cement gravel that tracked into the RV. There must have been a lot of rain in the area as the site was muddy and dog poop all over. The site we were assigned the electrical service was more working, so we have to move to another site. We were able to tolerate this RV park for 1 night and was happy to leave come morning.

Arrived at Twin Oaks after driving thru Florida during Love bug season. The RV was covered with dead bugs and Heather at the check in desk said it was perfectly o.k. to wash the RV at my site.
The grounds are well kept and spacious sites. Our site had a rock garden with bird houses which was lovely.
Although we didn't use the pool or hot tube they were clean and well maintained.
We would absolutely stay there again if the occasion arose. The $20 rate was with Pass Port America discount.

We canceled a reservation at an RV park which was charging us $139 for 3 nights when we got luck and found an open site at Old Highway 86 Campground and paid $10.50 per night with the senior card. A beautiful, clean site that is level. Water & Electric at each site and a common dump station. Our site was in the middle of the loop but we were not disappointed as be had a view of the view in either direction. The T-Mobile celluar signal was great. We watch TV on a Firestick with no buffering at all. We would absolutely come back hear again. You can't beat Army Core of Engineers campgrounds for beauty or price.

One of the most beautiful campgrounds we've ever stayed at. The sites are HUGE and well-spaced. We were on the side of the campground with a view of the lake. We had no problem with T-Mobile (no booster) on the lakeside of the campground. Everything about this campground was great. They even had a coin-operated washer & drier. You can't beat Army Core of Engineers campgrounds for great campgrounds and price. Our only negative thing to say was that we were hassled a bit because we tried to check in an hour and a half early. After being read the rules about the proper check-in time, the host let us in. That is the first time that has ever happen to us.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was pleasant. The sites are spread out nicely, however, the site we were in was a bit tight. Nice lake at the campgrounds, however, none of the sites are right on the lake, but within a short walk to fishing areas. There were two areas where I only gave it a three-star rating. There is no water available at this campground as of this review as they are working on the water system. The nearest water is at the Island Lake campground which is just a short drive. The other reason for the lower rating is mosquitoes. Make sure you bring mosquitoes spray and a screen house. There are many lakes in the area which are along the Grand Mesa Byway, which makes this a nice area to stay. While there is no cell service within the campgrounds, there is the Grand Mesa visitors center within walking distance that does provide free wi-fi.
