I had a small Lemon-Mint Sorbet, yum! Nice and light without being too sugary. My husband had Mango Sorbet and Pandan (tastes like sweet rice, from a palm tree-like plant). Both were great! And they had a Kraken (rum) flavored ice cream that we got to try.

Great drinks and really good food. Tofu appetizer was perfect. And the rooftop patio under a night sky was great.

Great patio and stellar veggie burger (Southwest Salsa Veggie Burger). The flavors blended very well and you really can't go wrong with avocado. The patio was nice and they allow dogs. Good beer selection. Will go again. :)

The food, the drinks, the atmosphere...all amazing! I had the #1, a sweet golden ale that complemented the 75 degree evening just perfectly. Our party shared the buffalo tofu, which I will admit I was scared to try. I don't handle spice very well. But it was done well with just the right amount of spice. For dinner I enjoyed the pesto gnocchi with a poached egg on top. Wow! Just wow! The flavors blended together so well. And the sourdough toast was perfect to clean the pesto from my plate. :) The eclairs for dessert were also delicious. This fabulous food was enjoyed all while sitting at a comfortable high top with lighted trees and a fireplace. You can't not go!

Solglimt offers superb hospitality. The room we stayed in (Kandinsky's Loft) was well decorated and very comfortable. Our hosts were great and the food was amazing. The warm scones we had for breakfast were delicious. The beach in front is nice too. We went in February so that wasn't much of an option, but our room looked right at the Lift Bridge which was a real treat.

The quintessential Minnesota park. I love going here. Watching cargo ships go through the canal or just watching the waves crash on the shore. You can't go wrong with a trip to Canal park. Watching the Lift Bridge rise up to let in a boat is amazing.

A neighborhood gem in Northeast Minneapolis. I am a little on the boring side when ordering Thai food, but I LOVE the Khao Pad Kuri (curry fried rice with pineapple). Seriously amazing! I substitute mine with fried tofu and it is excellent. The ambiance is great: quiet with semi-private booths. Good beer selection and yummy desserts. Try the Gluay Khaek (fried bananas with coconut ice cream).
