We were going to go to Bert's RV Park, which is the brother Robert, but he brought us to his sister's Rose's campground next door. Very nice and helpful owners. It was very quite and there are a lot of grouse/geese/roosters running around

First of all, off of Rt 505 make sure you take the Lake 13 Rd. There is a big brown sign for Maxwell National Wildlife Refuge. Our GPS failed and took us down another smaller gravel road before. The site was grass and a good location for visits to Angel Fire/Eagles Nest/Taos (The Enchanted Circle) and Sugarite Canyon State Park. It was kind of windy at night when we were there. Very quiet and there are park rangers just down the road and patrol the area. We had an issue with large moths when we had to pull in our full wall slide in as the wind was flapping our slide topper pretty good.
The ranger asked us if he should make spots more defined and make them a back-in, as people were kind of taking up 2 potential spots a lot of the time. We said it would be good.
For data we used our AT&T Nighthawk with a weBoost and was running 55 mbs down 22 Up and iPhone X LTE 46/24.

We pulled in and there was nobody parked, so we pulled around to the back of the lot behind the cafe. There were a lot of large puddles, so we pulled along the back. As night time unfolded the truckers started to arrive. By morning there were probably 15 trucks parked. We really did not hear them come in, so no big deal for us.

We stayed for a month and the monthly rate of $435 + electric was hard to beat as the daily rate was high. We were suppose to be at the state park right across the street, but it was closed for COVID-19. The staff were very nice and our site was one of the most spaceous and level. The staff was taking care of it very nicely during this time. We stayed for the whole month of April 2020.
Note the upper level are the better sites of this park.
It was pretty windy almost every afternoon

We were moved here from Cheyanne Campground to fill out our stay. The campground is pretty flat and sites were fairly level. These are 50/30/20 amp electric only sites with fire/grill pit and a picnic table. The sites are good size in length. Lots of space between sites. there are sites right on the lake. Clean campground. We did not use any of the facilities. they looked to be cleaned regularly. Nice staff and volunteers.

We got there around 2 pm on a Friday afternoon and we were able to find one of the first sites as you come in. There was a pretty good stream of RV's coming in after us. Our site was pretty big and we did not have to unhook our toad. There were a lot of off road vehicles coming on after us and we had one pesky kid using our site to turn around in. Otherwise it was very quite a little dusty drive on the gravel road.

Our spot was tight for our 40' class A, but we were only there for a overnight stop.

Nice park, 3 miles off Hwy 160 on a ok road just outside of Mancos city. The park was pretty big and they had RV sites and cabins. They had a restaurant that was open for dinner and breakfast on the weekend. Really nice and friendly owners and staff. They had astro turf mats on the sites.

We stayed here to see Santa Fe as this was one of the better priced option. The site was a pull through and no issue for our 40' class A. The site was just ok as far a being level. Seeing this was during the COVID - 19 time nothing was open. The roads were fairly tight and gravel/dirt.

We were here 5/18/21 - 5/24/21 and it was sunny, cold and windy. The sites have electric only/covered picnic table and some screen thing (wind screen?). The sites are gravel with a cement pad for the table area. Nice views of the snow capped Ruby Mountains and the reservoir. It was a short drive to visit Lamoille Canyon in the Ruby Mountains. They have water spigots dotted around and a dump station. They have toilets and maybe showers, do not know as we did not check them out. The first day we were worried as there was zero AT&T cell service and then all of a sudden there was 2 bars and 60+ down/18 up. There appears to have been a outage.
