Easy to access about 10 min off the main road. Owner is friendly and helpful.
Back in and pull thru sites all with full hook up.
Other amenities include play ground, volleyball court, laundry with washer and dryer $1.50 each.
Toilet\shower block was very clean and thankfully heated for our -10c stay.

Only 30min drive to Durango and 20min from Mesa Verde Visitor Centre.

They also have propane if you need to fill up.

Echo Basin has been around a long time. It now has new owners and it seems like they will be doing a great job. The park has RV / camping sites on one side and cabins on the other. In the center there is activities for everyone: volleyball, basketball, playground, horseshoe and even a pool. There is an event center for big occasions and weddings with a nice pond. They have laundry and a bathhouse for guests. This location is close to Mesa Verde National park (approx 15 minutes), Durango which has a train and a great downtown area. Mancos is 10 min away and 15 min drive to Mancos State lake for fishing and boating. The area is great for mountain biking, hiking, and ATVing.

Hands down my favorite place to camp. The new owners are making sweeping changes since taking over in 2016/2017 so disregard photos prior to that. They are incredibly friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful and so close to many of the Southwest Colorado's main attractions. Give it a try...you won't be disappointed.

Probably our favorite RV park we have ever stayed at. Couldn’t recommend it enough! We stayed Sept ‘19 - the road getting in was a little bit rough but definitely manageable. Staff was super friendly!

We spend most of our time at private campgrounds because we want the convenience of full hookups and good cell service during the work week (I work remotely from the RV). But we don’t want our campground to be a glorified parking lot, either, so we like wooded campgrounds that still give you that camping feel.

Echo Basin fits that bill. It’s located several miles from the highway (so no road noise) in a wooded area next to a farm. The roads and sites are a mix of dirt and gravel: the sites are fairly level and decently spaced. In addition to full hookups, the campground sells propane, has laundry facilities in the bathhouse, a small store attached to the office, a playground for young kids and volleyball, pickleball, and horseshoe courts/pits for older kids and adults. The campground also a clubhouse with a restaurant and bar available to campers when not in use for weddings or other special events (the campground hosts outdoor weddings). Although there’s no designated dog area, there were plenty of places to walk our dogs on-leash.

My Verizon cell service was adequate - I got 10Mbps down and 11Mbps up with my Verizon Jetpack and MIMO antenna. Near the end of our month-long stay, we experienced some lagging while streaming TV but only intermittently. My AT&T connection on my phone wasn’t as good - I usually had only 1 bar - but I could still make phone calls.

The only drawback to the campground is that nearby Mancos is a small town, and the grocery store in town didn’t have all of our usual groceries (which meant occasional trips to Walmart in either Cortez or Durango). But it was a small inconvenience for staying at a stellar campground where you could see the sun rise over the mountains at dawn and hints of the Milky Way at night. We would happily stay here again.

Nice park, 3 miles off Hwy 160 on a ok road just outside of Mancos city. The park was pretty big and they had RV sites and cabins. They had a restaurant that was open for dinner and breakfast on the weekend. Really nice and friendly owners and staff. They had astro turf mats on the sites.

Just WOW! After years on the road, this was the first time that when we parked three neighbors rushed out to greet us! They couldn't wait to tell us how much they love the place!

The owners are an awesome family who truly take pride in every aspect of this resort. It is always a struggle to find a place in the forest with excellent cell and wifi. BOOM Here it IS!

UTV trails right out of the park, playground, swimming pool, restaurant, pickle ball, volleyball and more! Your whole family will find things to do!

We planned to stay for a month, but that was 4 months ago. We love it so much we are staying the winter and into next summer.
5 stars is not enough for this place.

We spent two nights here because it's right between the awesome mountain bike trails at Phil's World and Durango. So we were able to conveniently spend one day in each area.

It's a beautifully maintained property. Spaces are a bit close to each other with not a lot of privacy, but we didn't hang around there much to be bothered by it. The facilities were clean, and the hook-ups worked fine. The hosts were friendly and kind.

The other campers were either quiet and courteous or the opposite. The campground was OHV heavy on Saturday night, and several campers were driving them around seemingly unnecessarily and until at least 12:30 am. Didn't feel like anyone was enforcing the quiet hour rules either. But Sunday night was significantly quieter as all those folks and their OHVs had left.

We didn't take advantage of the horseshoe pits, pickleball and volleyball courts, or children's playground but they are there if you are interested. The is also a golf course. Lots of deer out and about in the early morning and evening, and when we returned one afternoon the local ranchers were moving cattle down the road so we were caught in a round-up. It wasn't much of an inconvenience as it was actually a cool experience.

The resort is about 2 miles from the the main road, 160. The road to camp is easy to manage as long as you take your time and watch your speed on the hills and turns.

Not only is this campground absolutely beautiful, it’s in a perfect location to be able to explore the several nearby trip attractions. We were able to visit Mesa Verde, Telluride, Durango, and the San Juan National Forest while staying here. The amenities were clean and inviting, and our kids had a great time playing on the playground and pickle ball court. Tom and his team are very friendly, as well. We definitely plan to make this an annual fall destination.

Note: we stayed at 30amp which was cheaper bc we didn’t need the AC.

Really great place for full timers and weekend vacation. Staff is very friendly, WiFi worked good but wasn’t a secure network, very clean (staff continuously maintained the grounds), a peaceful and beautiful campground with tall trees, grassy areas and a few squirrels running around! Some of the spots were closer together but overall large grounds with plenty of space to move around. We would have stayed longer!

Laundry and propane on site for a good price. Playground, restaurant open limited days, cabins, golf and more. Not the most updated/new but very well kept with a homie atmosphere.

As far as location your couldn’t beat it; 20 mins to Mesa Verda, 30 to Cortez, 35 to Durango. Telluride is about 1.5 away and there is so much more to do (state parks and national monuments). Didn’t get to spend much time in Mancos but the one night we drove around we found a cute outdoor space that hosts local food tracks daily and it was great. Highly recommend!
