We went there to see the lavender farm around late May this year but was a bit disappointed as it was still a bit too early. However the rolling hill around Biei and Furano area is so beautiful that it made the trip worthwhile. So be sure to check schedule properly before you head there.

This place is very popular as one of the first place in the main island of Honshu to see the first sunrise of the year. So we decided to join the locals in greeting the first sunrise of 2014. The cape around the lighthouse is very beautiful and we were lucky enough to see a very beautiful sunrise. It's way out of Tokyo so if you want to visit this place, you should at least spare a day in your itinerary.

The best place to experience the modern Japanese culture. This is where we saw some funky and weird looking people wearing costumes and the usual anime style fashion. Also a great place to grab some bites, from traditional Takoyaki to Popcorns, pancakes etc. Be prepared to deal with the crowd though specially on weekends.

Iconic and a replica of the Eiffel tower. It is one of the most popular symbol of Tokyo and one of the first building we visited back in 2011. There is a big souvenir shop area at the base of the tower where you can do all your souvenir shopping.

Great traditional Japanese architecture and awesome Tofu-centered dishes. If you like traditional Japanese Tofu food then this is probably one of the best place to visit. Just amazing!

A very important shrine with a vast garden around it right next to Harajuku and Omotesando. Two of the most popular places to visit in Tokyo.

When you enter the shrine, you will immediately feel like you entered a different world. From the bustling and sometimes weird Harajuku to the upscale Omotesando street outside the shrine, you will then enter a very quiet and solemn long corridor towards the shrine. Definitely a must visit when in Tokyo.

A very popular yet controversial shrine! We went there during the Mitama festival and it was packed to the brim with young people. On a typical day though it's not that packed and gives a relaxing atmosphere.

Offers great italian food and blended smoothies. Also offers a great view of Taal lake and volcano. Although when we were there we had to ask for some candles to keep the flies away from our food. Otherwise it's a great place to hangout!
