Superb location. Lots of fun watching ships and boats. Clean restrooms and showers. Sites are fairly close together but still seem private.

Third generation ownership and management of the campground is wonderful. In fact, nicest crew we have experienced in our travels. Easy check in and out. Facilities are clean. Square dance group meets in camp host facility. Nice location close to Missoula and enroute Lolo Pass. Best sites are 66 & 64. You might consider the dry camp sites that are also on the river as they are private and huge. Check out the excellent campground map on their website.

Very nice spot by water and to watch river traffic. Recommend trip to Kalama port for an excellent dining experience. Staff at park is superb and facilities are meticulously maintained. Lots of big rigs and sites are adequate but not generous. Site space is compensated with very large open area between sites and waterfront. Our site was one of the best.

An excellent location with beautiful scenery and nice spaces. Some nice local hikes as well as open fields and wonderful access to the water. All other favorable posted comments were confirmed during our stay.

All other positive reviews confirmed during our stay. No Navy jets the night we were here. Nice hikes as well as beautiful location. Recommend the outer sites close to the North Beach access. Remember to get shower tokens at the store before entering campsite area. Also recommend a drive up Mt Erie prior on way to/from camp.

Camp was sparsely used this time of season. Very nice park. Make sure to hear/watch the birds in early AM. Pelicans are very fun to watch. We would stay here again but the park is a little tired from what appears to be heavy use at times. Facilities were clean but older and worn.
If you arrive after regular hours beware that the coded entry if covered by old trees with branches about 12' clearance..

Convenient place to overnight as you exit after a visit to the park. Sites are narrow. Bathrooms have flush toilets but no showers. Has dumpsites. It worked well for us to stay at Jumbo Rocks for to explore the main park attractions then stay our last night at Cottonwood. It gave us a full day in the park and a head start to get on the road again the next morning.
No cell coverage.

This is an excellent place to get some peace and quiet in a beautiful area. Park just has 33 spaces now. Lots of room in each space. Vault toilets are meticulously cleaned. We stayed in mid-August during the week and there were only 3 to 4 other sites around us that were occupied. The camp host is excellent and went out of his way to recommend excursions for us. The only short coming is that non of the trailer/RV spaces have views of the lake. Several of the walk in sites do.

Centrally located in Joshua Tree NP. Our site 67 was one of most private in Jumbo Rocks but none looked too crowded by neighbors. Good location for exploring the park. No cell coverage, but this is a good reason to come to the middle of the desert.
