Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on May 22, 2022The campground is surrounded by tall trees. Some spots are nicer than others. They offer full hookups and partial. There's a $10 potty pump for those with partial and there's also a dump station.
AT&T cell service is pretty non-existent, and the Verizon fluctuated. I needed to use a booster for my work calls. Fortunately, their wifi was pretty stable.
There are free washers and a clothesline, no dryers.
We had a great time watching the square dancing one night, and if I was a square dancer, I would LOVE this place!

We don't stay at many RV parks, but there are not good options for public campgrounds near to Missoula. But this was a nice setting for a private RV park, much more like a campground than an RV park.
The park is kept immaculately clean, and although there was no square dancing when we were there, I am sure that would be a great thing to see. They have restrooms and showers and laundry with cold water machines, but no dryers only clothes lines. We didn't try them.
There are a lot of people who seem to live here long term, and we definitely felt like the strange young things that rolled into town and we are not that young! It seems to be a close knit community and people seemed fascinated by us. It was quite a weird feeling. Still for a few nights it was a pretty place that allowed us to be near Missoula.

Nice little RV park that has a woodsy campground feel. Sites are close but there are trees all around. Owners are friendly, although a bit rule crazy. The WiFi can actually be quite good at times, Barry works hard at trying to provide a good service. Easy access in to Missoula but we stay here when we want access to hiking in the Bitterroots.

This was one of our favorite stops on a cross country trip. We appreciated the crazy low price for partial hookups and FREE unlimited hot showers! We parked in a spot right by the river and slept deeply, lulled by the sounds of the rushing water - a refreshing change from so many RV campgrounds that have road noise for "ambiance" these days. Would have happily stayed a week or more, hope to make it back some day.

This place was really cute. The staff was nicer than any other staff we have come across. They have a square dancing group. Our site was off to the side but near the parking lot. They would have music practice every afternoon. They were nice enough to figure out a spot for us and I think they thought they were putting us off to the side, but we loved our spot. No one was next to us. Site B.
There are a lot of people who are here for months, we saw them potlucking every night if they weren't meeting in the square dancing hall. It was an older group, but they were quiet! They have tent spots and a couple spots that have no hook ups. So if they ever say they are full and you are good without hook ups, ask about that. They do have a dump station area, so that was nice and free cold water laundry!!! you have to dry it yourself, but they have lines and you can lay it out at your site. We had a sunny spot so it dried faster than a drier! They also have free detergent sometimes just sitting there for people to use.
If you don't mind being 15 minutes from Missoula, then this is the place. It is 3 minutes to Lolo, where there are restaurants, casinos and gas stations. There are also mountain biking trails in town and you can get to the paved trail that goes all the way to Missoula. It's actually a 50 mile paved path from Missoula to Hamilton. There is also river access before you his Missoula. The river path in Missoula is awesome as well and there is good fishing. We trail ran and biked just north of Missoula in Sawmill Gulch Road. Tons of paths everywhere. Flat to huge climbs. Awesome!
Cable, wifi, bathroos, disc golf, small putting area.

We stopped here for a night on our way to Yellowstone. The staff were really sweet and friendly. We checked in a bit past closing, and they waited in the office for us and then guided us to our site on bicycle and invited us to come watch the square dancing that evening. We unfortunately didn't get to see it because we had some repairs and errands, but we'd stay here again if we were in the area. The layout is a little wacky, but there are nice trees and the sites are gravel and pretty level. The park is a little far from amenities, but it's a pretty area.

We camped here during a rainy June ... the rivers were running and the campground's dirt roads were muddy and rutted. It doesn't rain a lot in Montana, so you may not encounter this problem. There is a long list of park rules which covers a full sheet of paper, and there are others that aren't listed. To wit: we pulled up to their only dump station and connected our hose only to be interrupted "Sir, move your rig so that it is directly above the sewer inlet. We have had problems with 'accidents'." I don't have accidents, so I told this bozo "I need to fully extend my sewer hose; otherwise it will not drain properly." "Move your rig over the inlet."
Too many rules!

We stayed here for the access to Missoula, which is a 15 mi bike ride on an amazing greenway trail!
The staff was very courteous and helpful with ideas for things to do in the area. It is kind of a cramped campground but there are plenty of trees and everyone is really quiet.
Apparently this is a world famous dance hall and we met people from all over the country & Canada that we’re there for circle dancing. We went up and watched them dance and they were all so nice and amazing dancers. Hope I can move that well when I’m in my 80’s!
Our kids had fun playing frisbee golf and wiffle golf.
The park WIFI didn’t work great at our campsite but the manager said it was down. Sometimes it worked. It worked great at the office and I was able to work from there since they have plenty of space.
But the real pleasure of this campground was the 2-ply toilet paper! Haven’t had that in over 10 mths of full time travel.

Price reflects 50 amp electric and water hook-up site with their ‘pay for 6, get 7th free’ deal. We had a lovely site near the back with a large green space that was part of the whiffle golf course, and only 1 group played the time we were there. Very friendly, helpful folks checked us in and offered us suggestions on things to do in the area. Rules are enforced, such as quiet times, barking dogs, etc. We are not dancers but we might have to start! They also have one of the largest square dance apparel stores that I have ever seen!
We biked parts of the Bitterroot Trail that runs from Missoula south to Hamilton. (Be sure to stop in for pie at Glen’s Cafe in Florence!) Showers and bathrooms are a little old but clean.
Wi-fi was pretty good, better than at many parks. We are able to stream with our own AT&T network. Verizon was poor. We’d be glad to stay here again.
