We pulled in just as the sun was setting. Plenty of people in pull offs along the road but everyone dispersed and enjoying the quiet sunset. Amongst the cactus, it’s amazing.

We arrived around 3:30/4 pm, taking the severely washboard road slowly, and there were already about 4 or 5 other units at this location. More arrived overnight. We were able to find a spot, pretty unlevel, a ways away from most campers.

While collecting rocks to improve a small fire pit, saw tons of TP littered in the tall grass and around trees. Seems a shame people can’t just pick it up, burn it or pack it out.

Sunset was amazing, hitting the mountains to the east, south of Sedona; the cliffs practically glowed. Nice view west as well.

Would stay again but probably would find a bit more solitude in a site not listed on Campendium! 🤣

We were simply traveling through to AZ and needed a place to plug in for the night. Professional staff, things are well organized and clean. Spaces are tight but since they don’t really allow anything outside your RV (coolers, fires, etc) it’s not that bug of a deal. WiFi was pretty slow.... better in the wee hours when I’m assuming most people were sleeping and not bogging down the bandwidth. Planes were loud but our furnace kind of drowned them out!

Wish we would have arrived earlier; it was dark and that road to camp was long and winding! But it was easy to access for our equipment. Could definitely be tough for big rigs; some really tight corners. There’s a sign that says not recommended for longer than 25’ trailers. Saw cows along the road, grazing in the night. Water is only available at the bottom, near the camp host. We left on relatively early the next morning, headed for White Sands. On the way out we say African Oryx. So cool!! Wish we could have explored more. Would definitely stay again.

Looked lovely…. Unfortunately, even though I could find no mention of a closing season on the NF page AND it said the area was open, it was closed. We were bummed to have wasted a half an hour trying to find it and then having to continue on.

After traveling down a long, bumpy, dirt washboard of a road, we were impressed to find this amazing, little oak grove oasis at the end! Great sites; pit toilets available. No service for AT&T. Fantastic trails right from camp area. Woodpeckers and other birds in the trees. Loved it.
