It’s located in the Whiskey Pete’s casino. We stopped and ate inside then looked at the car. A nice stop to our road trip. Mask were required inside.
This shop has about everything you need from petrified wood art and souvenirs to post cards, hats and toys. Something for everyone.
The employees were very friendly and pets stay free. We were very pleased with our stay.
It closes early so make sure you don’t miss it! There is also an overlook of the lake that’s worth stopping and seeing too.
Open! We had to wear mask the whole time and social distance but worth the stop. It is a sight to see. We bought our tickets on-line as we pulled in and it saved us a little money. They do have a guide that will take a small group out around the edge of the crater for free. Great picture op!
This is a great way to see the beautiful landscapes, petrified forest and painted desert all in one self guided tour. The drive has plenty of stops to take great pictures and easy walking trails. We went last month. Great way to social distances and see this beautiful county!
A must see. Our national park passes got us in for free! Go early as they are limiting the number of guest. We got there at 10:30 and got the 1:00 entry time. (last group is at 1:45). You have to walk down and ride the elevator back up. Not crowded at all and we had on face mask on when near people. Take a flashlight to see your path and Wear good shoes. Note it’s 56 degrees in the cave.
