clean and lovely with a creek, picnic tables, and fire rings, pit toilet. lots of mozzies in July.
don't take the forest service route, enter off Boundary Rd as google suggests. RV's have some pull through options.

$18 to dump tanks here.
this park is gorgeous, almost like a botanical garden, especially the more isolated B loop. the C loop sites for RV hookups are kinda meh, so opt for A or B if you can go w/o hookups.
nice trail down to the water. no beach, just mud flats but still scenic. mind the tide which is about 12' from low to high!
the bathrooms and showers are pretty dated. showers are paid and $1/3min

OK but can be windy. Rough road at the entrance but plenty of room for RVs
Several sites. Fire rings. Nothing interesting to stay more than one night.

we were heading from the coast to owen's valley and looking for a place for just a night. this county park is a good choice. we paid $46 for a water/electric (no sewer) site. it says $36 but there is a $10 "fee". you must pay online!
our site was excellent. near the creek under the shade of oaks. generous size and with extra power and water spots for the picnic area behind the RV pad.

by far the nicest grounds of any RV park I have been too. the sites are great with excellent utility hookups. they even will deliver items from the on site store to you site.
dog owners will like the massive rodeo grounds to let your pup run. the pool and spa are fine. tons of nice grass to relax and a little lake in the center of the park.
downsides are highway noise and just mediocre restrooms and showers. oh and the wifi SUCKS.

This state park has sites that are much larger than normal, but are often not well suited for RV's. Hammock people will love it though. Strongly suggest looking at campsitephotos.com before making a reservation if you are bringing an RV to make sure the site is long enough and fairly level.
There is a good amount of hiking right from the camp including a large meadow and several creeks.
The showers are good and inexpensive ($1 gets you 10min). The store provides slow but free wifi 24hrs a day. It is a short drive (3mi) into town for cell service, wifi, restaurants, etc. Dead quiet at night.
The hot springs themselves are a bit disappointing since they are an additional $10 and channeled into a shallow swimming pool. They close early (7pm) and there is little or no shade. Perhaps they more enjoyable in the winter!
