Small campground. Bathrooms not open in March easy to park. Location with the red rocks and the lake eye popping
Hope some day to get to swim in that clear water restaurants slow to open. Didn’t see one little green man in the flesh

You camp in an area of sand dunes surrounding you super clean showers close to the small town of Monahans texas
We had a problem with our trailer fender. It was falling off when we arrived We believe the weight of the fresh water we were carrying damaged the fender on the way up to Monahans from big bend
Ace hardware had all we needed to repair it. Flex guard and reattaching the screws
But our angel was Mr T ( a park maintenance man). We suggested options that would work and he lent us a drill bit extension to work the screws back in. He even was our park history snd geology expert. Visitor center closed because of COVID Bless Mr T

Enjoyed our stay. Close to El Paso. Be alerted the trans mountain highway is under construction. You have to negotiate orange barrels to get into the park. If coming from the west you have to go up to the top of the mountain snd make a u-turn Our problem was we dumped all our fresh water because of the weight affecting our trailer. So upon arrival we were going to fill up. That can’t be done. No I mean no water to be found in the park Dry camping at its best. Good we carry just in case 2 1/2 gal container. But the views and the different cactus made our lack of water so bearable.

The showers remind us of Girl Scout camp in the 1960’s. I think the camp host tries to keep up with the bathrooms and showers but when you share this area with the day use crowd it’s impossible On weekends the park closed because to many people in
Dirt covered floors and toilet paper and hair in drains hard to rate this place above 2 stars. No break in between sites you really get to
Know your neighbors Tent sites nice level and sandy but a long walk for them to the bathroom and water area
The springs is beautiful and you can’t beat walking around in the morning mist
No dump area you have to travel
To oleno state park 20 miles away a much better campground but no springs
The road in is sandy and like an old fashion wash board
