If you are looking to be in an RV park that isn’t next to the highway and has open space, then Sunset RV is the place you wanna be. We stayed a week to see all the sights, thus Our weekly rate was $249.50. Tami and Bill are great friendly hosts who even set up a group campfire with all the s’mores fixings.

After a long day of driving we easily found our spot on the beach. Easy access and quiet surroundings. Sleeping in our motorhome on the beach was the best. Then to wake up to a beautiful sunrise over the bay.
We stayed 1 of 9 very nice pull-thru level concrete pad with 30&50amp FHU sites. There is a lower section with many more graded gravel sites with green grass. All sites have nice shade trees. To our surprise they have their own laundromat with four washers and dryers. Best of all just a short walk to the awesome Pioneer Auto Museum that is a must see.

Its nice to have an overnight stay that’s quiet, easy access, long and wide pull-thru, shady and level sites, with pleasant views of the hills, butterflies, birds, etc.
Oh, and all this for a very reasonable price $30 with full hooks and decent cellular reception to stream TV. The owner makes finding a space easy. Call him upon entry, find an empty site with a traffic cone and move it aside then pull in. The owner will drop by to welcome you and collect the fee. Happy camping!

Nicely groomed with great views of Lewisville Lake. Yes, COVID19 has closed their bathrooms, showers, and laundry just as many other campgrounds. Despite that it’s still a quiet campground with easy freeway access and local services.

They have and Overnight Row of wide and long (70ft) pull throughs, and some back ins. They masterfully grade and groom the gravel roads and sites. Their self-service is very easy to follow. Their water is tasty, the power is post is great, and they provide free WiFi. The town has a nice little grocery market, a pharmacy, Family Dollar, McDonald’s, and a NAPA Auto Parts. A refreshing overnight stay. Oh, the site is only $35 when paid in cash!

We have camped here 3 times in our travels. The campsites a generous with plenty of natural desert landscape. The views of the desert and mountains are breathtaking as are the nearby hiking trails. The restrooms are nicely maintained, and the two dump stations are level with great access. The 3 mile approach to the campground has very winding narrow roads, so drive slow as the campground is all worth the drive in.
