We reserved for 2 nights, but due to the fact that we could not exit or enter our RV without a half dozen flys coming in each time, we left rather than stay the 2 nights. We’d just conquer the first swarm just to have the next half dozen enter!
The campsites are not cared for or leveled after campers exit, and we found it very difficult to level our B+ van. We had to climb a stack of 4 ‘lego’ blocks for the right front tire, and 5 for the left front tire. 2 stars because we were thankful for the W/E hookups.
Bottomline, I would not recommend this campground.

We (25’ B+) hooked up (W/E) at the back wall just under the tree, so we had shade during the day. We needed 4 “lego” blocks in front to level. Other reviewers reported a level lot, which may be the case in the middle sites. A clean, quite place to stay. We stayed 4 nights. BUT, be informed as to events that may be scheduled during the week or on weekends. We happened to be there during a weekend when they hosted a very popular exotic pet show. Parking lot became full which made it difficult for us to maneuver to get out to pump.
Having missed our GPS directions we, fortunately, stumbled upon the Jerome City RV Dump Station located on 4th St. directly north of the fairgrounds lot. You won’t see it from the lot. Exit from the entrance, turn left, and go around the block. Signs point to the location. Campendium, as far as I could tell, did not show this dump site.
For $20 a night, we felt it was a great choice and would definitely stay again if in the area. Approximately 1mi from
I-84. Convenient, too.

A real gem! At this review we’ve stayed 2 nights and are most likely to extend. Clean and quiet, and only minor leveling for our class B+. Electric h/up, with potable water and dump available. Small dog park. Location is 30 minutes from Santa Fe and 20 from Bandolier NM. We very much enjoyed hiking BNM and taking in it’s history.
Note:with New Mexico still on COVID high alert there are just 8 available sites out of 16. During our stay (over a weekend) there were 3 others when we arrived for extended stays, and 1 for an overnight. Pay daily with credit card at the kiosk. Visitor center remains closed which contributed to the quiet.

Immaculate and welcoming. A Mennonite owned and operated campground cared for with pride. The camp workers were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. At check-in, each guest is given a token for a free ice cream from their small store. Nice touch! They also sell homemade pies, both dessert and vegetable pot pies. I purchased some locally raised grass fed Wagyu ground beef, which I had always wanted to try. The price was $6.00#, the best price I’ve ever seen. Excellent! Mennonites are known for their healthy lifestyle.
We stayed 2 nights and had a full hookup site @ $40.00nt, with a 15% discount. We have an Escapee membership. We are self contained so we didn’t use the facilities or the laundromat. We enjoyed our day touring Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument just up the road. I highly recommend this campground!

A very nice find for one night when heading home to Michigan. Easy off and on to I80. We’re 25ft. with tow. They have back-in for those with trailer, or w/o tow,They also have pull-off spots parallel with their drives. That type worked well for us. We were tucked in nicely without having to unhook our tow. We needed a couple of ‘lego’ blocks to level up. Electric on every RV site, water available, and dump site. First come, first served until May when reservations are needed. Very pleasant place for our daily walk. Cell coverage was adequate.
Highly recommend!

Location is a little off the beaten path, but well worth it. I called ahead just before the office closed, and when I explained we needed a site for 1 night, I was told we could pick any spot. Just disregard ’reserved’ ticket because all reserved sites were for the following day. Self-pay kiosk/cash or check. Electric hook-up for us, water available, and a dump station. Nice level pull-through. Self contained so we didn’t need showers. Highly recommend.

I’m sure it’s very beautiful and worth a visit in the spring. However, we visited in September and there was a only a very small stream over the falls. We were disappointed, to say the least. Thankfully, we had the National Park Senior Citizen Pass and did not have to pay the $5 entrance fee. $5 would be well worth viewing the falls and visiting the park another time of the year.

I’m sure it’s beautiful to see during the spring, but September brings only a trickle over the falls. We were disappointed, to say the least. Thankfully, we had the National Park Senior Pass so we didn’t have to pay the $5 entrance fee. There is a very nice picnic area.

September 2021, we drove the Thousand Springs Scenic Byway route as given on Roadtrippers, west to east. Appreciated the Snake Canyon Overlook, the Fossil Beds, and the area of the original Oregon Trail. (FYI - Oregon Overlook Trail is to the LEFT of the signage in the parking lot! The trail to the right is the Emigrant Trail) Aside from the small sighting of Thousand Springs (really?…1000 springs?!) and a small waterfall near the springs, the drive from the Oregon Overlook to Twin Falls is pretty uneventful.
The Twin Falls Visitor Center was a great stop to view the Perrine Bridge, and watch the BASE jumpers! What a treat! From there, head to Shoshone Falls. But best to see that on the spring when they are in full flow! Not much to see (for a $5 entrance fee) in September. Glad we were there, but we were very disappointed at the “trickle” over the falls at that time of year. Due to the lateness in the day, we had to pass on the Hansen Bridge Overlook, so we can’t comment on that stop.
Our recommendation:check out the main sights at the west end of the Byway one day, and the main sights at the east end another day, and skip the uneventful mid-section.

We’re loving this campground! It’s clean and the grounds are kept up beautifully. The sites are gravel. We found our site to be fairly level for our class B campervan... just a little adjustment needed. All sites seemed to be similar. Picnic table provided. No campfires allowed.

While we were there (6 nights) we had some very windy weather. Because the roads throughout are paved we were spared the dust-bowl effect when other campers passed by in their vehicles!

We love to hike and had no problem finding a decent, moderate hike to do each day right from the campground. The only negative to the campground is no showers. We’re self contained so we had no problem, but we would have used them if available. Nice quiet, beautiful setting away from any city noise and lights. Highly recommend!
