Hard to find at night. Very tall totem pole, indeed.
Beautiful views. Gorgeous homes - the kind you’d expect to see on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
The pitchfork was there, and very big indeed. You MUST go to this little town full of the biggest things. They have all kinds of stuff: world’s largest knitting and crochet needles, golf tee, car key, pencil, rocking chair, rat trap, barber sign, cactus, bird cage, etc…. Most of these can be found in the city center, right in a 2 block strip that can be easily walked or driven around. It was neat!
Whoever lives here must really like SciFi. The two saucers don’t look tall enough to walk around in. I wonder if they are just bedrooms? It would seem that the main living space is in the separate dome shaped building. Overall, worth the drive.
I like that this isn’t just a useless waste of space, but rather a functioning office building. My travel companions were really impressed by this building.
I don’t know what happened, but using the Roadtrippers app for navigation brought me to an empty lot for this gas station. I had a lot of difficulty with that navigation app. You are much better off setting Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze as your default Nav app, and then, enter the address/destination directly into that app rather than allowing Roadtrippers to export the coordinates, as I have found that those coordinates are often wrong.
Really nice view. The drive there is a bit meandering, but not unpleasant. The walk from the parking area to the views is VERY uneven. Best to wear sneakers and be very careful. That said, my 77 year old mother was able (with help) to get up there and back in flip flops. Unfortunately, the entire lookout area has been vandalized with graffiti everywhere. That really took away from the natural beauty of the landscape and the scenery, but the views are truly breathtaking and worth the 15 minutes out of the way up the mountain to see it.
Drove right past it without noticing it at first.
Small, but serves its purpose. It was nice driving through the town to get there. Lancaster county and surrounding area is picturesque, and seeing the horse drawn carriages was near.
Cute! Much smaller than I expected. You cannot drive through it, but you can park and walk through if you like.
